Out of thin air you have this feeling?

We know from Begley, they have interest in at least DSJ and I believe in previous seasons they had interest in Frank..

We have the matching expiring salaries to attach to DSJ or Frank.

We have "extra 1sts" that I do think they're willing to deal.

We have the report that the Knicks aren't looking for just picks, but guys who can be long term starters. Covington fits that bill and is the level of player we can reasonably attain with what we have.

Yes it's out of thin air but us and Minnesota make A LOT of sense as trade partners IMO.

Only reason I’d want Covington is to flip him to a contender for picks. I’m not sold on his defense, as I think it’s overrated and plus he’s 29.

Does not fit our timeline at all

Well, I hope you're right if it's for DSJ.

I think Frank will look good playing next to another good defensive wing in Covington. That will help Towns kind of suspect D.

Get'er done Pillsy!

So, in effect they traded Jeff Teague for himself over 4 years and got 2 picks?

That's some good GM'ing.

Knicks would have packaged a pick to trade him away and sent out another to take him back.

We traded THJ for a pick
Traded that pick with other stuff for DRose
Let DRose go to sign THJ
Used our best asset to dump THJ

Who knows what happens if he hits FA and we have money to spend

I don't know why, we shouldn't want the Knicks to make a trade for him imo

https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/256835/David-Griffin-Finding-Stasis-With-Zion-Williamson-Is-The-Challenge

Zion Williamson gained eight pounds of muscle during a one-week heavy weightlifting routine during the offseason. The amount of weight gain from Williamson shocked staffers.

I'm trying to wrap my head around that. Let's say Zion weighed 300 lbs - it means he gained 3% of his body weight in muscle over one week. What is the caloric consumption required for something like that to happen? That can't possibly be muscle nor naturally occurring in a human body.

They can certainly include Jarrett Allen since Kyrie hates him.

Yeah the Pelicans aren't letting him go. It was a nice pipe dream for the time being. Sigh
