Curry is overrated.

He's the Ferrari that needs to win a monster car derby.

I think his antics and the effects it has on the team will end up shaping the next CBA.

On the one hand, how can you, as an owner (or whatever the new PR term is) sit aside and idly watch a single player purposely (through his irresponsible actions) wipe out the majority of your team, and wrestle himself out of a negotiated contract. The results of losing a few players for an extended time could be catastrophic, especially in the west coast, in terms of the earnings of a prolonged playoff run.

On the other hand, if Harden doesn't want to play for a particular team anymore, and is willing to risk his nickels (through possible fines, etc) and is at a point of irreconciliation, why shouldn't he do everything in his power to speed up the process?

I think both sides merit a thoughtful argument, and should be discussed at the next CBA agreement. Theres a lot of ancillary effects to both sides which merit attention, that the current CBA does not adequately address.

What do you guys think?

These pandemic protocols are going to play havoc with available players all season long so any preconceived notions about the way Thibs likes to have rotations should be put into context of that.

i wish we had done the #2 for mitch + #8. not because I think wiseman will be a way better player, but I think they at least would have started wiseman. 2 is too high of a pick for the "has to earn it" bs.

The correct answer to this is: I wish we hadn't wasted our time with Randle, Portis and a bunch of bums who were good enough to drag us barely out of the lottery and couldn't even get traded for 2023 2nds. We had no shot at 8 + Mitch, but I think if we had a higher pick, it might have been doable. Also, we would have probably drafted LaMelo then.

The Nets competing with them for NYer's attention could be a way to incentivize Dolan to care about this becoming a well-run team...or even consider selling.

As is, the market is just too big for the organization to do anything but print money, despite being a s***show for the past 20 years. If the Knicks suddenly started seeing Brooklyn actually impacting their profits & hold on the NY market, that could change.

This if my hope. If the Nets are serious contenders and start putting a dent in Dolan’s pockets it could be a blessing in disguise. The Knicks are a serious after thought among the people of NYC right now. I work for transit and most of my co workers I run into either A) hate the Knicks and stopped following the NBA because of years of torture they’ve been subjected to by them B) started following individual players mainly Lebron since the Knicks haven’t gotten their act together in so long or C) have taken up converting to Nets fans

Good point on hopefully forcing Dolan to be competent.

Those Knick fans at work who became Nets fans? Not real Knick fans to begin with.

I don't care if they were awarding her "Nun Of The Year"

Don't violate the protocols and gather in large groups. F*ck Harden.

Also, I love that it throws the Rockets into disarray.

It doesn't matter if he went to a strip club or to church -- he still went WITHOUT a mask. Maybe he should re-read the protocols so he better understands the rules.

(NOTE: You DON'T get to break the rules just because you want to support your "homegirl" for being a "boss.") :noway: :banghead:

any other year I'd be enjoying the rockets demise but since it negatively effects our Dallas pick - this sucks.

Dolan doesn't care about that. They did have real dollars though, and Dolan might start caring about those walking away if the Nets can take a big enough bite out of his pie.
