No use just giving him away when he's playing great ball for now on a fair deal.

Denver uses Jokic as a Point Center. They dont have salaries to match in a trade. Neither they will have cap space.

Miami uses Bam as a Point Center. Bam-Randle-Butler can pack the paint too much. Its possible but not likely.

Houston - It can work a Randle/Wood pairing. But midseason deal is unlikely if we dont trade for Oladipo or Gordon.

Portland - I think Nurkic can do what Randle does. And Randle/Kanter pairing is far from ideal. But its possible considering how bad Convington is shooting.
BAF Brooklyn - Pre-Season NBA 2K Simulation 2023 Champions.

He’s playing great for us and winning games for us and keeping us in games but regardless there still is no team that values him enough to trade for him. All I can think of is possibly Utah, New Orleans and the Lakers need rebounding so possibly a draft pick(s) and throw in Nitlikina.

All this is absolutely not true and to say we have to "throw in Frank" when trading Randle is ludicrous.

Randle should make the All-Star team easily and as a player is directly responsible for turning this team around.

Stop buggin.

You are misunderstanding my post. Me personally I would keep Randle. He’s proven he’s a tam player. I love his game and made me change my mind on wanting him traded because of the way he was with Payton freezing out RJ. But not this season. Right now I wouldn’t trade any of our important players which includes:
Randle
Obi
Mitchell
Quickley
RJ
Knox
Berks (he’s deadly from three and spreads the floor out)
Noel (barely makes the cut).

Bullock, Nitlikina, DSJ, can all be waived.

Ooops my bad:

We're 8-10 and playing Randle and RJ 37 minutes and destroying their knees for the 10th seed. How is that attractive to a free agent vs. hitting on a difference making A list player in the draft? There's nobody on this roster any of the new age Instagram quit when it gets hard stars are coming to play with.

You care about player messaging? Please that went out the window with Thibs.
can’t think of any recent star players deciding on a team based off there most recent Draft luck being can’t miss A list type. Maybe lebron, but he never gave Af bout them kids

I think most guys went I team where they thought they could compete or were already competitive

The Nets were barely competitive, they just were in a cool place and had room for 2 max players plus $10 million for their party buddy De'Andre. It wasn't the hard work, all team culture that brought them there proven by Kenny Atkinson getting fired by 2 players who hardly played last year. Chasing these divas has nothing to do with your roster, your success, your coach or anything. They're just going to do what they want. The Lakers were a complete trainwreck, awful, terrible front office, worthless wasted draft picks, clown coach and LeBron just woke up and decided to go there. The Clippers got Kawhi because they had a drove of picks and good young players and could trade for Paul George and get Kawhi to come. So if we continue to draft well and develop the worst case is a free agent decides to come, and we either keep the good young players or trade them for a All NBA 2nd star (A.D. or George).

Injuries might make Portland desperate. If Collins can't get healthy they may give up on him. The salary match is tough though, Hood's corpse is tradeable on March 2nd and that's $16~ million.

But they still have the following PFs on roster after swapping Collins for Randle (which I'd happily do).

Melo
Derrick Jones
Covington

I guess Covington can slide up or down, Jones could be a small ball center vs. non AD/KT/Jokic teams.

All it takes is one team that really covets him. He'd fit well on those teams and more. Dude is legit playing like an all-star this season with solid defense to boot. Portland may get real desperate because Dame is probably tired of the same old story every season. He must see how teams like the Bucks and the Clippers are getting their "A" guys help by overpaying.

The Randle looks burned out

He’s been shooting under 40% in 4 of the last 5 games and under 45% for the month of January.

So I would pump the breaks on extension talks especially when it looks like he is coming back to normal.

The overall stats look good bc he playing damn there 40 mins per game but the %’s tell a different story.

I mean playing 40 minutes every game in a condensed season with little talent around you will do that
