stream of consciousness thoughts:

- hawks had more talent on paper but thought our continuity and defense would keep the series competitive. we were an RJ steal away from it being 2-2 going into tonight's game. probably still lose the series but you never know.

- randle struggling in his first playoff appearance doesn't mean he's a fraud. it means we need to add more talent to this team. he was in his head at times forcing it, but the hawks did a good job on him. he wasn't able to get the same looks for his teammates. we need more shot creators.

- bullock was forced into a role he couldn't play. he's a good defender on 2s/3s, not quick PGs. thibs' reluctance to even try frank on trae for short stretches was really frustrating.

- the "we should've tanked" crowd needs a **** reality check. the jump a lot of the young guys took this year was huge and the season was a major success relative to expectations. this isn't a treadmill team, that's the difference. they have flexibility to add another star, improve through the draft and trades.

- it's now on leon and co to prove their worth and have a successful summer. i'm looking forward to a seemingly competent front office continuing to make good moves.

- to be clear, the way we went out was really depressing. i'm not denying any of that. it doesn't automatically negate the season we had tho. don't be so shortsighed. the future is bright in NY.

Let's not forget the Knicks were down 13 at halftime in game 2.

The Knicks really played only one good half of basketball in this 5-game series.

We were outmatched, out-talented, and outcoached. It was never close.

we were up by 7 and up going into the 4th in game 1 and we choked at the end. games 1 and 2 were the only close games. then there were 3 blowouts. not sure what changed.

Rose got tired and couldn't make up for Randle and RJ being a complete no shows anymore.

A step forward to what? Let's talk next year when the Knicks are committed to Julius on an extension as well as Bullock and god knows what other overpaid signing... and fighting for a play-in spot.

What are you basing the wolves and the pels having brighter futures than us on? Zions gonna go the way of davis and paul before too long and the wolves are at best a fun team.

Talent wise yes but the wolves FO is trash and the players don’t care about winning, the Pelicans are so badly built.

Whatever... at the end of the day the jury is out on WWW and Leon Rose. They could end up just as inept as those FOs. I don't think any organization has seen as much regime change as the Knicks in the past decade.

We are still the laughingstock of the league don't get it twisted... the media was condescendingly complimenting the team's performance this year while also reminding us how untalented the core is... they were right, apparently.

Lucky how? The hawks aren't good at all and the Knicks looked like a d3 school going against them. Has there ever been a **** starting lineup for the playoffs in any season ever? Bullock is a 12th man at best, Noel should be an empty body...the Knicks roster as a whole sucked dick top to bottom all year, the east is just trash so they faked people into thinking they were average.
