It's why I rallied behind Phil longer than I should have. He had the gravitas to do whatever he wanted but... he wasn't good.
Trading young players for the right stars is the right strategy. Young players don't win titles. LeBron played about 6 seasons for the Cavs and never won. Tatum and Brown can not make Celtics a contender. A New York City franchise can bring great stars.
Phil was a terrible president although I thought he was a good name at first. As a president, he can not be evolved in the coaching business. It's outrageous undermining the coaching, limiting his autonomy to decide what strategy the team will adopt. It was a huge red flag after the signing.
