He was never a Yankee, but Yankees fans remember him. RIP Tim Wakefield.

Oh my God. I heard something about Schilling getting heat for revealing that he had cancer the other day, but man...57 is way too young. May he rest well. :noway:

Showalter out as Mets manager. Didn't last long, exactly as I predicted

That team wasn't really a fit for how Showalter manages. And they're put together about as well as the Yankees.

“Breaking: Omar Minaya, the former GM of the Mets and the Expos, is joining the Yankees as an advisor to the baseball ops department. Savvy hire by the Yankees. Minaya brings smarts and experience. Along with the Sabean hiring, he’s the second high-profile add Yankees have made.”

Montgomery is going to be their biggest free agent signing once Hal realizes how much it'll take to get Bellinger, Chapman (not that one, the other one) and Yamamoto. Then Cashman will spin that awful trade as "hey we got him back so it cost us net nothing".

There has to be changes made. I'm not even upset about anything too much but, it's just stale around here.

32 years of winning seasons. 5 WS out of 7 in that span. Plenty of playoff runs. I'm not too upset. I would like another run though soon. This year was a mess.

This winter needs to bare fruit. That Montgomery trade...oh boy. I can't believe how bad the hitting was for everyone in the lineup. Everyone. You can't win much with that on top of the injuries to the pitching staff. There was talent here. Judge injury hurt. Rizzo injury hurt. It was a total shyt show. They brought up kids though. Yay.

So what’s the word on Carlos Mendoza? Seems like a solid hire for the Mets. Could he be another Rojas? But didn’t Rojas come to the the Yankees after et being fired by the Mets? WTF is going on around here?

Stanton's agent did.

Actually, nothing Cashman said was that bad. Now people know why most public people give completely vanilla non answers as much as possible.

Cashman was right about Stanton. Dudes injured every single year and if you don’t plan for that, you end up dumpster diving for replacements. When you’ve got one of the league worst offenses, you can’t ignore this and pray that he’ll give you a full 162. Especially when it never happens.
