Roby - with 8 min/game to compliment Randle's 40 minutes.

Obi's a backup energy big.
That's the point.

Not on the roster yet.

Randle is a starting energy-destroying big
… who stands around watching the ball …
unless he is dribbling it in place or in a wild maneuver.

Hart and RJ did well in that role when Randle was out during the playoffs and it might have impacted the Knicks' thinking.

I understand saying that after the 2021-22 season but coming off this year I think sounds a bit dissonant.
Randle was good in the regular season. Played poorly in the playoffs again but played through a significant injury that required surgery.
Let's be real.

Maybe RJ.
We just signed Donte. I see a logjam at the smalls.

Yeah. But I think short-term the plan will be to play a small-ball 4 when Randle sits. Until they consolidate some of those assets in a trade for a star. Not that we have any other option anyway

It’s exactly what I said. Lamelo and Hayes were gone so I woulda picked Haliburton.![]()
I’ll take the L on Hayes. But you are running victory laps about Obi when you were hyping him up like crazy and talking about benching Randle for him![]()
you wanted to draft hayes over hali and edwards though. and i remember you were high on poku and okoro![]()
i never denied i liked obi coming out of the draft. but once i saw him play as a rookie i knew he was bad goods. i said to ship him away after like 1 month of seeing him play
I was never crazy about Okoro. That was shams guy.![]()
Poku was a mystery. I Wouldn’t have minded him with a later pick or 2nd pick to swing for the fences.
I would have picked LaMelo if we had a top 3 pick so didn’t really mention Edwards. I was also low on your guy Wiseman, and was higher on Maxey.…some misses, some hits. It was a crazy draft.

You’re just being contrarian. Randle is not a good player.
