Brunson is a scary mofo and truly elite...reminds me of Lowry during his peak with us when the Raptors dominated. Just knows how to run a team. Villanova legends.

I hope OG stays healthy...really the only issue I had with him as that he seemed to miss 20-30 games every season. He's been healthy this season so far thankfully.

Rooting for you guys.

cheers. take care of our pups! want to see IQ and RJ blow up and win. would be a lot of fun for our teams to compete meaningfully with traded long-term pieces.

At first I was like we gave up both RJ and IQ?! Now I’d be fine if we had given up a protected pick at least too, and maybe more tbh.

I am pretty into Sims and Precious as well

It’s similiar to what Jay Wright and those Nova teams had too. The way they played is very similiar to how the Knicks have been playing lately, how those 70s Knicks played. The unselfishness, defense, chemistry, elite team basketball…. All the nova guys helped bring the Nova culture and it’s carried over to everyone else. OG is basically like a Nova Mikal and naturally fits in perfectly. Even Arch, our 15th man….he was Mr. Nova basketball. took Brunson under his wing and nobody knows the culture better then him.

People doubted those teams and said they didn’t have any nba players, no superstars, small school. They proved everyone wrong and won it all. Every once in awhile a team like that comes along. You never know.

thats true we are in a difficult position. We probably do need to make a follow up move to address the bench but we do have good vibes going. You just don't want to get into the playoffs and not have production for Duece/Grimes and wonder what if. Having one in the rotation is fine but you having two unknowns when the playoffs hit could be a lot to ask even for them.

We could use another scorer off the bench or even a legit #3 option. It all depends on the fit and cost.

In one way someone like Brogdon would help for sure. But then we are trading assets and
/or giving up on one of Deuce /Grimes in the rotation. Those guys have been looking better and the bench has been coming around. We may find that we need more than a bench upgrade, such as a legit star, and could use those guys in a trade for a bigger upgrade down the line. If we trade or bench them now, it could hurt us down the line.

It’s a tough call to make especially when we are playing so well

I'd still get Brodgon if the price isn't higher than the Rozier trade. Since he's hurt a lot you still have Deuce to fall back on. And then the contract still big enough to be flip able.

Us playing so well right now only helps our leverage. We aint desperate.

Overall great game.

No one ever plays a perfect game so I did see him brickin and trippin in typical Randle fashion during the first quarter.

Thibs needs to change his idotic and outdated doctrine of tight rotations...

With this kind of depth, intensity, defense, schedule and the vibes of this team, you can easily play 11-man rotation where no one plays more than 35 minutes and no one plays less than 15 mins

5 x 48 = total of 240 mins... divided by 11 thats still more than 20 mins per...

Hart / Achiuwa / Mitch
Randle / Hart / Sims
Anunoby / Grimes / Hayward
Grimes / Brogdon / Rose or Burks
Brunson / McBride / Lowry

I would call Melo to come out of retirement... Sheed 2.0.

Btw, if you mess with Twitter spaces, Bully’s part of the TherapyNSports crew which has some of my favorite spaces to enjoy. Plenty of New York-centric sports talk (hella jets vs giants trash talk until both our teams turned out to suck); and they have other dope ish too. They had a space about hip hop history last week that was flames. They’re some of my favorite people on Knicks Twitter.
