Pelican deal is rumored to be for Trey Murphy. Another 3 pt shooter. If you believe that KAT/Precious/Sims can be the bigs, Trey gives us . . . something.

Christian Wood wasn't bad in 2022-23 but essentially missed last season. We don't need Gabe Vincent. I'm not sure I see either deal though I think I like the Murphy deal better, but even then I'm not sure. Mitch has played well for us in the playoffs. Size and defense are important. I wouldn't rush to make either of those trades if I was Leon, but I'm open to being wrong.

No idea if either rumor has any validity.

I keep thinking of the highlight package of Mitch guarding Embiid in the playoffs. Would need him vs Cleveland too in a series. Let him come back at Christmas and bring him along slowly for the playoffs. If Embiid hadn't twisted Mitch's ankle last spring things would be so different
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Shams bomb! Knicks are in talks with the Denver Nuggets on a trade for Carmelo Anthony. More to come.

Yeah I forgot what he did....but it was something bad...his knees are always shot and he's only a "big" in height. He can score well but that's it....basically a garbage package for Mitch.

Word. It was December and now that we have KAT the team and team doctors decided to give Mitch more time. 1 more month...

They're making it sound like the start of the 2025-2026 season. How dramatic.

Actually, if we are rolling, let Mitch come back even in March. In case KAT needs time off in the second half, then reintroduce Mitch if he's 1000%.

how bad is it?

its not even close to December and we are already told he's being pushed back. this is just a few weeks after we were told the target is December.

think about that.

I actually think this is a good sign. The way Fred Katz mentioned Mitch’s injury on a couple pods that December/January wasn’t a real timeline. I forget the exact phrasing he used but this report seems a lot more definitive than how it was originally reported. Like the Knicks hope to have Mitch back December/ January and now it’s Mitch will be back in January. Mitch must have just seen the doctor and they gave him the approval to move onto the next phase of rehab with a real timeline.

This is the man who called the Randle KAT trade and the rationale behind it. Don't doubt him.

Mitch is completely done and all this leaking is just obfuscating the truth so they could complete the KAT trade and then whatever follow up trade the Knicks have for a backup center.

Mitch probably shattered both his ankles jumping down from his lifted pickup truck.

He's never suiting up for the Knicks again, 90% sure he's never playing NBA ball again.

If the knicks were interested in protecting Mitch they should just come out and say march.

Basically let him miss 80% of the season

But of course we have to pretend he’s not under medical retirement so that we can scam a team into trading for him.

Otherwise the writing is on the wall for him. Lose 30lbs and be mins restricted while u play the rest of ur career 1 ankle turn from needing amputation

Sorry I don’t make the rules.

It’s just obvious. 7 footers with bone injuries in their foot and legs just don’t mix.

Just be ready for Embiid in the ECF and Jokic in the Finals.
