When I look at the Wizards I am reminded we now have an elite FO that has not taken on any contracts like Jordan Poole's.

I don't understand the reaction to this Mitch news. The initial reports weeks ago said he wouldn't be ready for the season start, and that they were hoping for "December or January".

Shams simply eliminated the December concept, which as a fan of this team for Mitch's entire career, I mentally did when the initial report came out.

Apparently, fans weren't outraged enough. Calendar year sounds like longer.

Sure, but fundamentally they just didn't need him. I basically paid no attention to the KAT rumors because I didn't think anyone Nova was in play.

Can someone please photoshop Spider-Man’s pting at each other with Kolek McConnell nameplates on. Thier backs….cant wait to watch them chasing each other …similar offensive games, similar mentalities …could picture kolek very much blossoming into a McConnell

For real, I'm a believer in this front office.
Iwas thinking about teams like Orlando and Houston and how even with all those top 3 picks they wind up with mediocre teams giving huge contracts to guys like Franz Wagner and Alpert Sengun. Unless I get Wemby I'd be wary of being beholden to these too young and too expensive unproven talents.
Anyway just chiming in to say I'm glad we are doing it the way we are.

It has to be said... OG had another 'soft' finish at the basket that wound up with him on the floor, it's two in two games now. Hm

he has been plagued by ankle and knee injuries… the lift is gone and it looks awfully bad when he wants to get up for a layup… like when Melo was hurt before his surgery… no lift at all… Zach Randolph was even worse on that aspect but he was very crafty and always found a way to lay it in without getting triple blocked by the opp

Hart's inability to shoot is less of a problem when all 4 other guys are career 38-40% shooters

It's not ideal of course, but you can live with it.

he will become a big problem in the nights when our one or even worse two of our main guys struggle to shoot the ball at high %

McConnell is a more defensively oriented dribble drive scoring guard that finishes in the paint and can pass but can't shoot from deep. TyKo is a floor general that can break down a defense, get his players good shots that also can shoot the lights out but is pretty weak defensively.

These are two different types of players. We can hope he has the impact and longevity of TJ but
I sure as heck don't want his game to be like him, a poor man's Nash or something like that would be a better fit for the Knicks than a TJ clone.
