look how a good defensive team has to guard us...no a foot in the paint.

Both plays led to a Brunson drive and layup...and KAT drive and dunk. With no interior presence down low.

Imagine how much better it would look with Tre Murphy or Deuce instead of Hart

Mikal will be fine. Will trust him and the Knicks coaching staff over a random twitter bro

Timberwolves are one of the top defensive teams in the NBA and we were up 5-7 on them before most of the starters exited the game. And thats despite being still rusty from downtown.

Also Thibs is obviosuly not showing his full hand on our motion sets which will get guys open looks either from 3 or at the rim.

It’s interesting that we still haven’t seen our real bench unit yet. Thibs isn’t running a 10 man rotation. I know people have been speculating that it’s Mikal with the bench but I wonder if it’s going to be towns? I feel like it makes more sense line up construction wise. I’ve always left like Mikal was more of a 2/3 and not someone that can really play the 4. Plus Sims hasn't really shown out that makes me think he’s worth minutes and I’m not sure how happy Thibs is playing precious at the 5. Now the bench unit can be Payne, Deuce, Shamet, Precious, Kat. It makes even more sense when Mitch eventually comes back. If you’re going to run that jumbo line up at all, might as well make it happen against bench units. The only downside is asking towns to play the full 2nd and 4th quarters.

It also needs to be pointed out that McDaniels who is an elite perimeter defender was in hell trying to defend Brunson because there was no help coming from Gobert.

Josh Hart going to launch a barrage of 3s once the season starts; just lulling opponents into a false sense of security right now

 For months this is what we've been clamoring for, as the main reason begging to bring KAT home.

No more Capellas, Bams, Embiids or KP's hanging out in the paint on defense.

Brunson and the guys are going to have a field day in the paint.

All this drama is to distract you from the fact that Sims fouled out of a preseason game off the bench.

I think that 3rd quarter sub of Deuce then Shamet is one of the rotation looks.

Hopefully in the real season they would continue to stagger starters after that and not torture us with Sims, Precious and Payne

Yeah I don't think there is a single perimeter defender in the league that can guard brunson 1 on 1 without interior help...but with KAT stretching the floor something has got to give.

Minnesota hasn't lost a preseason game in 2 years under Finch. So this game has just a wee bit more meaning for a preseason game.
