if we're objective about it the team is incredibly flawed.

coach - stubborn dinosaur stuck in his ways with no ability to adjust. floor raiser with zero creativity.

best player - undersized scoring guard with mediocre playmaking/vision and defensive liability
2nd best player - 7 footer that can't defend the rim or guard in space. great scorer but can't get his own shot outside of post ups and doesn't make others better.
OG amazing defender but very limited offensively. can't dribble the ball or create for others.
Bridges is well rounded but can't break down a defense and is passive.
josh hart great hustle guy and rebounder, good in transition. kills spacing and is basically useless in the half court.

deuce is a solid bench guy but streaky and undersized. good POA defender but offensively can't run an offense or create for others

mitch is a solid backup big - but health etc are issues and offensively very limited

after that not worth mentioning the others.

assets: basically all traded.
cap space: none
flexibility: 2nd apron incoming.

I’ve been saying the same sh** on these forums since the season started
I know Mitch didn’t play tonight
But the lineup has to be this

JB Deuce OG KAT Mitch
With a bench of
Hart, Mikal, Payne/ shamet (either or not both) and KOLEK

This coach tries nothing different

Or they came in to Charlotte at 3 am after playing the night before after just traveling from NY to Texas then to Charlotte after a long west coast trip.

This isn't about just tonight.

The team is playing back to back after a long trip man. Without their best player who happens to be their facilitator. Team is tired and this is just a schedule loss. Our fanbase is so wishy washy. This team isn’t better than the Celtics or maybe the Cavs but we have a really good team and sometimes good teams lose. Cavs are on a 3 game losing streak it’s not like Kenny should be fired lol. Should Thibs go? Sure but he hasn’t lost the team.

I never said that Thibs has been coaching great or maximizing this team but he hasn’t lost the team. Team is just dead right now.

it Thibs wont make any change in the lineup, approach, strategy and playcalling we are a 2nd if not 1st round exit

Brunson / Kolek / Payne
McBride / Bridges / Wright
Anunoby / Hart / Shamet
Towns / Warren / Dadiet
Robinson / Achiuwa / Tucker

we have to play similar to Spurs team that beat Miami and the years before and after that

Brunson (Parker)
McBride (Green)
Anunoby (Kawhi)
Towns (Duncan)
Mitch (Splitter)

Payne (Mills), Kolek (Joseph), Wright (Joseph)
Bridges (Ginobili), Shamet (Belinelli)
Hart (Diaw), De Colo (Dadiet)
Warren (Diaw), Tucker (Aynes)
Hukporti (Baynes), Achiuwa (Bonner)
Strength and Honour!

that's the thing. you can't blame thibs for every single thing otherwise it's just noise. stephen a smith should be able to coach this team well enough to beat these teams from yesterday and today.

If he plays the bench. They drafted the college assist leader!!! Smh

Bro. You’re not supposed to lose to two teams who are actively tanking and the basement dwellers of the league. Point blank period. Yes we are missing Brunson, but the spurs didn’t have wemby or fox, and charlotte didn’t have Brandon miller. There’s NO excuse to lose to the hornets tonight.

This is why I think they have to get a new coach. At the very least a smarter coach would have been playing guys to try and make them trade assets. A smarter coach would have been playing KAT at the 4 when Huk was here. So once Mitch got back they would know their roles. A Smarter coach would have figured out Hart and Mikal on the bench is scary and Deuce is a better POA defender to hide Brunson on.

Exactly this. It’s so many things that make you pull your hair out year after year. The stubborness of this jackass who continues to play the same players over and over. I feel like he’s on a power trip because he knows no one will tell him otherwise. From Leon to Dolan.
