With Rudy Gay gone, we're looking like a MUCH better and improved team. The way we're playing right now means we'll be heading to the playoffs.

Raptor fans don't want that. We need to tank this year. So we need you to take the guy who's actually facilitating the ball movement that we lacked with Rudy

Then take Artest and Felton and stfu

We want to tank + get capspace in the off-season. No point in taking just Artest and Felton

If we're adding salary since Klow is an expiring; we would want another asset that we could possibly use in another transaction

But again, not trying to flame.

Just need Lowry off our team

Be patient. Raptors don't play another game till Wed and Masai needs to trade Lowry before the 20th, so that he can trade whoever he gets back in the deal at the trade deadline.

JR is the perfect guy for you. JR + Chris Smith for Lowry.

JR will look like a superstar for a few weeks chucking every shot in site but with low efficiency. Some team will want a 6th man of the year type, over pay for him (looking at you BKN) and give you guys an expiring plus some goodies.

Either take our crap or make the playoffs and lose out on a once in a lifetime opportunity at a franchise player. Knicks can sneak into the playoffs with how bad the east is. We don't have to give in to the Raptors for a mediocre player.

What is this other deal that we're trying we're trying to move Shumpert in? I doubt that Shumpert is gonna land us a better player than Lowry just ship him to Toronto already.

What I don't understand is the people that want the knicks to do nothing. Don't they understand that Melo ain't staying for a rebuild and the NYN pick situation?

You think the situation is bad now. Wait until Melo leaves and the NYN don't own their own draft pick till 2018. What other superstar is coming in with the cap situation being what it is and the talent on the roster? Is Shump and/or hards going to get that type of player via a trade? Get real people.

Personally, I don't understand the attraction of a 2018 protected first round pick for the raptors. If thats all it takes to get an above starting PG like Lowry AND get out from under Feltons contract (would likely cost a second to move on his own) then the FO should make the deal before Masai changes his mind.

First lets take a look at Felton. Opposing point guards have produced a 17.2 PER against Felton. He has produced 11.7 PER.

Lowry, on the other hand, is producing a 17.3 PER and allowing his opponent to produce a 12.9 PER.

How can people sit here and say Lowry is a mediocre player that can't help this club? Have they been watching the guard play all year?

Don't panic and make this deal. This is a typical panic move- wait it out and get someone better for your assets.

And what happens if the raps decide to move him in the meantime and noone else becomes available?

I don't really understand the point in waiting if the cost is only 2018 protected first-round pick. Not only that I'd want Lowry (or whomever else) in here as soon as possible to replace Felton. Feb maybe too late with the way Felton is playing.

Then the Knicks made finally a good business decision.

How is going nothing, missing the playoffs, and losing Melo in the offseason a good business decision?

I'm not saying it has to be Lowry or that it ends with him. But the Knicks have to do something not only for their fans but to convince Melo that this team can win moving forward. The idea that we can afford to punt the season and rebuild is just garbage. The Knicks already mortgaged those draft picks. They have to double down with Melo and do everything in their power to convince him to stay eventhough it maybe a bad bet at this point.

Because desperate teams get fleeced every time. Willing to give up another 1st round pick for a mediocre player (and yes, Lowry is mediocre, he is just better than Felton, who is awful) reeks of desperation.

All this likely happens if do nothing and continue to roll Felton and JR out there. We can't survive with the guard play we are getting.

If it's not Lowry then it needs to be someone else.
