HOU: Bargnani
ATL: Asik and Shumpert
NYK: Millsap and Schroeder

Why for Hou: straight up Asik for Bargnani swap. Bargs fits in better and Asik wants out. Bargs becomes an expiring in the offseason and they have assets to package with him for an upgrade if desired.

Why for ATL: They have talked in the past about moving Horfrod back to PF. Horford and Asik combine to give ATL one of the biggest and best defensive front lines in basketball. ATL also adds a SG to team with Teague as the backcourt of the future and has a young nucleus (Teague, Shumpert, Horford, Asik) with the right to swap picks with the Nets the next two years and cap space.

Why for NYK: While Bargnani has a more versatile offensive game, Millsap overall is a better fit for NY. High motor, great defender and rebounder, high iq with an efficient offensive game his skill set would compliment Melo and Chandler well. Schroeder is a prospect for the future.

We take it, but the other two don't. And I don't want Millsap unless we're routing him elsewhere for assets. This core, even with this upgrade, isn't winning jack.

Toronto doesn't touch it. Amir >>> Shumpert enough at full confidence.

We need a rebounding Big... a slasher at wings and an elite PG

too much needs with too little assets to give away!!

Chandler/Asik
Martin/Amare
Melo/MWP
Shump/THJ
Lin/Prigs

Bargs, JR, Felton, Udrih, Aldrich and a future pick for Asik, Motiejunas, Casspi and Lin...

Udrih and Tyson to the Blazers for Lopez, Crabbe, 2nd, T-Rob?

Felton + JR, Bargs to the Lakers for Pau and two second round picks?

Waive Amare and Chris Smith. Sign Jeremy Tyler and Fab Melo.

Collect three second round picks, some decent prospects, and align our cap :dontknow:

how can we expand on this and make it work for all teams. Millsap is the start of rebuilding around Melo. Need to flip Stoudemire for backcourt upgrades. I'm looking to have the best team possible until 2016 and then blowing it up when we own all our future picks after the 2016 season.

Tyson + Shumpert for Amir Johnson + Valanciunas (he's not as good as Raps fans think he is) + Fields + Daye. It saves them some money to avoid luxury tax.

When did Toronto become a tax team? I know they are over the cap, but not the luxury tax line.

They're 800k below the luxury tax threshold. If they want to make any more moves (they've pretty much made everyone available), they'll have to save money somehow.

Would the Knicks be willing to trade Shumpert for a late first or two second round picks?

Please stop making these offers with the rockets

WE SAY NO!!!!

We take on crap and trade 3 players playing well and one who has shown potential

Bargs has been having a good year but doesn't provide us with anything we need

I hope y'all make a trade and get better because I love the Knicks, but this trade is AWFUL for us

In the 2014 draft? I'm pretty sure they would.

I would love that trade; but, yeah, Morey's never going for that.

He might do Melo for Asik/Lin/Parsons or TJones (depending on which position Melo would play), assuming Melo would re-up in the summer. Then the Rox would have a shot at the title, and the Knicks would have a future.

^ya I bet Morey would do that but would obviously low ball at first and try and keep parsons (I really think he would give in though)

I don't see Dolan dealing melo unless he says he's leaving

I wouldn't do the trade either because watching melo and harden with d12 all 3 making awful basketball decisions would drive me crazy and all 3 would want to be the alpha

I like our team with its youth and seemingly amazing chemistry (other than Asik)

I agreed.

With Dolan's history, I honestly don't think he interest in deal with the Rockets, simply too young, inexperience and healthy for his taste.

But if there is a trade between the Knicks, the only piece that Morey might be interest is Melo. In returns, Knicks will need Asik, Lin and Parson back. Maybe a 2nd picks or two.

If that is the trade, Knicks might able to get rid of Amare by packing Chandler and picks for some expiring contract for this season.

He may not look it at the moment, because this team's f'ing with him, but Shump wayyyyyyyyy better than Beverley. And Beverley is no matter PG than Felt. His only strength is tenacious perimeter defense and decent (for a little man) offensive rebounding. So Bev = Shump - 5".

Do the picks sway you at all? I was thinking one or two seconds. Both are the same kind of player, really, tenacious D with little offensive game. But he's redundant at PG with Houston and Shump's redundant here with no confidence. Win-win IMO.
