I don't think it's that bad and the 2 bigs won't always be on the floor together --- but we'd still have 2 legit big-men.

The triangle defines where our bigs will be on the floor for the most part -- if Steins guy wants to slide a step or 2 over to double Melo than Melo slips WCS an alley-oop. Same goes for Monroe - he makes his move here comes the double team...Monroe either hits WCS on an alley oop or throws the ball to an open shooter.

I never heard a peep about KU's spacing last year despite the fact +80% of Towns shots were around the rim. WCS just moved around looking for alley-oop angles or rebounding/put-back opportunities. I don't recall the Harrison brothers having many issues getting into the paint and it's not like the KU shooting guard didn't have room to shoot.

Another thought. If teams are going to collapse in the paint --- doesn't that create more space for our perimeter players?

How much of an issue is spacing with Mozgov and T-Thompson in the playoffs??? Neither guy is spreading the floor with 18 footers - they are banging the boards and contesting shots. It's probably what's been most impressive in Clevelands run - love the way these 2 are playing.

Do we just ignore some of the offensive rebounding advantage a guy like Towns might give us?
Do we ignore that his shot-blocking, defense and greyhound like speed might help us get out and run more often?

The thing about WCS is that he's extremely mobile and the threat of him throwing down lobs behind the defense is more attractive then going small, being out-sized at most positions and chucking 3's.

I think his defensive abilities far out-weigh any offensive short-comings but that is my opinion.

if they can get Pau for that kind of a deal. Then why not just use the cap space to sign his brother. If we get Pau. I would 100% believe Marc would sign to play with his big brother.

then just pick Mudiay with the 4th pick.

Mudiay
Galloway

that would be better

You can't just look at it like its going from 4 to 6. Its going from a A- type prospect to possibly a very risky euro or possibly role player that doesn't have all-star potential.

Go ask denver fans. Today they would give up 7 and Lawson for #4. 3 spots for acquiring lawson? Yep it will happen because the gap between 4 and 7 is large and to move out of 4 will be a huge coop for the knicks.

I get why Denver might do it. My question is what's the incentive for Sacto? You really can't tell me Sacto will just give up the 6th pick for Lawson and Trashaway and not expect any other assests in return

possibly but i guess what does sacto value. WCS or Lawson. Maybe denver gets #4, hardaway, and Collison (probably need a cap filler like Landry or Jason Thompson. Sacto gets Lawson and Faried.

Sacto now has a starting lineup of Lawson, Mclemore, Gay, Faried, and Cousins. Run and gun style for Karl.

Denver rebuilds with Mudiay, Hardaway, and Collison to help run the point for the first year.

Knicks get 6 and 7.

I take #6 and #7 over just #4 but realize many disagree with that thought process.

i think they're gonna need to trade pau or gibson to a team and not take much salary back. not sure who they get rid of.

agreed, I think we should get that trade done on draft night. Let them save $$$ so they can pay Butler.

If we can trade for Pau and keep a max FA spot I think we jump up to the favorites to land Marc. Imagine marc getting to play with his brother. That would be a dream come true for them.

i wouldn't go that far but I would honestly consider sending a 2018 1st rounder (lottery protected) with hardaway to get it done if we really needed too.

http://en.yibada.com/articles/34938/20150526/andrew-bynum-free-agency-update-lakers-clippers-knicks-potential-suitors.htm
For a 1 year deal maybe? What is the least we could offer him in case we can't get a Gasol or Aldrige? His numbers have dropped throughout the years and you never know about those knees.
Andrew Bynum Free-Agency Update: Lakers, Clippers, Knicks Potential Suitors

Here are some quotes from the article (not sure if it was posted already):

New York Knicks - According to Lee, the Knicks showed interest in Bynum last summer, but never pursued this option since they are unsure if his knees were healthy enough.

Phil Jackson was instrumental in Bynum's development during their stint in Los Angeles, if there's someone who can get the best out of him, it would be his former head coach. In addition, the presence of Knicks head coach and former Lakers point guard Derek Fisher, who knows well his strength and comfort zone on the floor, is also another reason why the Knicks would be ideal for him.

your telling me if you pretty much got a verbal from Marc that if we brought in Pau we would be the front runners you wouldn't pull the trigger?

And for the bulls they have to get rid of a big and we are one of the few teams that want to acquire Pau that can basically give them a TPE and a young asset or too.

Then you draft Mudiay and Phil would have just turned our team into a contender in 1 year.

That is what I would do since Marc could be up for grabs. Calderon and Pau playing together. We would have team spain with Melo and Mudiay. It would be glorious.

- Calderon is a bum that will keep getting injured
- a team that starts Galloway is not a playoff team
- Pau is too slow to play PF and too fragile to make it through a season playing starter minutes

That team is 8th seed at best. And still not a single leader.

that team gets at a top 4 seed easily in my opinion. Pau and Marc were got damn all-stars last year and calderon as a backup guard is not a problem at all.

Pau played PF this year with Noah at Center and did just fine.

I would go as far to say that team becomes the #2 team right behind the cavs.

that team has great perimeter defense. Marc is arguably the best defensive center. The post up game would be ridiculous and calderon and gasol are good leaders and winners. Pau is a winner that knows the triangle perfectly!

Melo would be the closer which you need. I think your out of your mind if you think that team is an 8th seed at best. thats a 50 win team easily in the east.
