^^ Wiz is wack now. I listen to his songs now and notice that his lyrics are mediocre. He's a hook rapper. Curren$y>>>>>>>Wiz

There's more to rap than J Cole's lame ass lyricism and "struggle".

LOL Your joking. How is this writing good? Your in love with this guy seriously. He's wack sauce man. You making him sound like he's some kind of OMG book writer when his shyt is simple. I don't like Lupe that much but he writes circles around this guy. So does Kanye and J Cole.

There is different forms of getting your point across. He's not like Lupe. And he's not like Kanye. And he doesn't try to be. And Kanye ain't like Lupe either. I don't even know why you're putting Kanye up there in terms of "lyricism". And I never said Yelawolf is a great lyricist. But he's a good storyteller, song writer, good ear for beats, does good hooks and has a great flow.

This isn't some OMG LYRICISM but his flow is great in this first verse:

In the 2nd song (2nd verse) he switches his flow like 4 different times. That's nothing to sneeze at.

Yelawolf isn't for everybody, people need to understand that. Dude was/is a homeless drinker, that don't exactly appeal to everyone. However I don't buy the whole just because he is white people want to hype him up, its 2011 stop that damn nonsense. Where as J Cole got the whole college scene for the most part, he can be very boring to some.

I actually agree with you a little, wiz is a decent lyricist but he is a great hook rapper and nothing is wrong with that. He is catchy that is why he is good, so many people can remember his songs. Nothing is wrong with that. I never said he was the best lyricist. Lupe, Jay-z, and I would agree J-cole is better lyricist then Wiz but Wiz has a great quality to make memorable song and that is a great quality for a rapper and im sry that isn't wack its just different...

and by the way if you want to know about a new guy with sick lyrics Black Milk is sick, listen to his first verse from Deadly Medley...absolute fire

I'm so hip hop I bust nut in graffiti... and as an impartial observer who has never listened to any of these three before J Cole is the only one that I could listen to thru the whole song, Kid got some skillz but he's still young in his development it seems, but at least he is talking bout something.

Yelawolf is ok, but not something I'd want to hear constantly, but he got a little skillz.

Wiz is hot garbage

want flow, substance & style? cant top Monch

Injecting a seasoned vet like Monch into this isn't even fair. Stray Bullet is one of the nastiest tracks ever imo, great concept.

Monch is what he is, someone who is talented that doesn't drop enough music to appeal. Internal affairs was great, Desire was great and I'm hoping that W.A.R. will be great but most people just know him as some dude that was on Madden sadly enough.

What's new about Black Milk?

I mean wiz had stuff in 2006 and they are considering him rookie of the year...j-cole had stuff in 07, Most of these guys aren't rookies. Black milk has stuff from 2005....I would consider that relatively new...u dont?

Three songs out of a catalogue that's like 60 songs deep. I could paint Outkast, Common or any number of emcees as attempting to go Pop by that foolish logic. Stop hating, stop reaching...you don't like him and tha's fine. His new single off a major is wack...indeed...but stop reaching smh.

We need to kill this phrase of hating because people have been misusing it from morning. How exactly am I hating on Wiz? I heard songs when he was garbage and had a wack flow and it sounded poppy. What u want me to post 40 songs? And look how quick he transitioned into mainstream. He was gunning for this. It's too obvious. You can say I don't like him but that's your assumption. I LIKED him just like how I LIKED Drake. Did you hear Cabin Fever? It's a hot mess. Bunch of generic Lex Luger riddims covered in a hot melty stink of bad lyrics. Only thing good about 2 of the best songs is Big Sean is on it and wrecks it.

Nah not really in today's world. Wiz's name started buzzing in 06, it's 2011. That's not new at all or anywhere near new. I remember when I first actually heard Wiz his was rhyming over Kurious George's I'm Kurious.

In terms of actual *New* people one of the few people that right now has me excited is Voli from J. Cole's camp. Producer/Rapper that has just been killing it IMO.

Besides if that's new then guys like Sha Stimuli, Skyzoo need to be thrown into the discussion and things will get real ugly. I mean I love Black Milk but two albums in doesn't make you new.

Nah man...you're hatin' Look at your OP...you callin' dude out for his fashion sense and hair style...gimme a break. You don't like dude's music is one thing, but fabricating nonsense and ignoring a whole post just to continue the BS is hating. Just keep it one hundred. I don't like Yelawolf's style, I don't call him wack over it. I'm just not feeling him. That's being honest and not hating.

Finally got around to listening to the Raekwon album, pretty solid. Better than I expected since it was pretty much rushed.

next2spike wrote:You guys put me on to REKS. IDK if it is him, per say, or it is DJ PREMIER's instrumentals. Excited to listen to his album coming March 8th. What would you guys say is his best mixtape to date? Thanks.

He got his new album up already:

As far as his best album since he doesn't do mixtapes, to me that would be Grey Hairs the first one.

I actually like them, but they really have no place in this group. They got that crossover sound that appeals to me, but I can easily see why people would love or hate them.
