I'll give my take on what we need to do in Game 1...

Melo has to get in a groove early
Shump has to realize he NEEDS to stay out of foul trouble... so kid remember you can lose a couple of battles early as long as you win the battles late
JR needs to come off the bench with confidence... he needs to look to not only score but drive and kick
Amar'e has to lay in the weeds and focus on little things until Melo goes to the bench that's when he needs to attack the Heat
Chandler also needs to stay out of foul trouble... he can challenge shots more later in the game
Davis has to try and be aggressive... he needs to get in the lane and he needs to try and push the ball so the shooters can trail and spot up

We don't absolutely need to win game 1 but we have to put a scare in them and then win game 2. Got to get 1 of 2 though for sure.

POST PICKS

MARC BERMAN
Heat in 6

Carmelo Anthony and bench firepower will get Knicks a game on the road and one at home, but a possessed LeBron James isn’t losing four games to New York.

MARK HALE
Heat in 4

There will be some close games but no Knicks wins. Their streak of not winning a playoff game since 2001 stays alive.

MIKE VACCARO
Heat in 6

Knicks have enough to throw a scare into the Heat, not enough to finish them off. Wait ‘til next year.

GEORGE WILLIS
Heat in 7

Knicks’ depth makes for a close series.

FRED KERBER
Heat in 5

Heat will concentrate on shutting down Carmelo Anthony, and Knicks won’t have enough other scoring.

I had some Knicks-Heat dreams in the meantime as well. I cannot remember them though, just knew I had a couple at least.

I slept 2 hours this afternoon thinking that it would be enough to keep me awake till 4am or so for the 1am game. I woke up checking that the game is at 3.30. lolz!

What I should have done was to NOT take a nap and sleep early tonight and just set the alarm at 3.30am. But I think I wouldn't be able to sleep either way. I have so much energy and excitement that I took a 40 minute jog around the neighborhood. haha!

I'm wearing my Stoudemire jersey at home. What about you guys? LET'S GOOWWW KNICKS!

I had a dream last night in which Jerome Jordan and landry got into a fight at practice over a girl and Jerome knocked landry out with a three piece and an uppercut.

I've been trying to figure out the meaning of it all day.

If we want to win the series then we have to take Game 1 IMO. When your playing as the road team in a playoff series Game 1 is the easiest road win you can get because this is when teams will be feeling each other out. The adjustments come after. So we have to take this one.
