Re: Source: Teams inquiring on Kyle O'Quinn
My dude Kyle from NSU. I knew constant trade rumors would pop up *the minute* he signed with us. He got ignored in Orlando for whatever reason (probably their bad coach), but he's a good player. He is the kind of back-up big you want. We got a huge discount for his talents. A hometown discount, which some people forget. He's from Queens. He WANTED to play for the Knicks. I don't wanna do that to him, man... let him be a Knick for life. (or until he sucks)

The guy is a BARGAIN enforcer in today's NBA, and potential double-double in the right systems. PLUS he's a good Passer. Real Oakley type mentality on JUST under $5 Million/year @ about 26 years old, with 2 years left on the deal.
Half the League would want/need that, including (but not limited to):

For me I'd look to package him with Lance and try to snag a 3/4 that could play alongside Melo and KP... We do have a plethora of bigs
Wilson Chandler type
A lotto pick, OR a regular 1st, some 2nds and them taking LT.

I'd go so far as to say that KOQ has been the biggest surprise and most consistent positive of the season.

Why is it that everytime we get a decent asset that people want to trade it off asap? And not even for good talent at that. We ran into this same thing last year with lopez.

I think this is more of a case that he's at a position of surplus for us with Willy's emergence and we have other needs that trading him could possibly help. With that being said I don't think anyone's "rushing" him out of here. It's more ok we have this nice piece let's maybe get a different nice piece back for something we may not necessarily need.

Re: Source: Teams inquiring on Kyle O'Quinn
It's not really a surplus with Noah's injury history and Hornacek's desire to not play KP at the 5
