this team never asset accumulates. It signs contracts that we eventually have to use picks to get rid of. This will be another one.

People fail to recognize this. We're essentially replacing Clee with Hardaway

I'd MUCH rather have lee's shorter contract at less money.

Yup. Unlike Marks with Porter, the Knicks are playing to win with this one. A contract they can't match.

I guess you need more scoring with Melo gone. That's probably the idea here. Chuckaway will probably score 20 a game and somebody needs to.

Don't get me wrong. It's a bad deal. But that's probably their rationale. Dumbasses.

Watch how horrid is TS% gets next year.

When you look at the other numbers it doesn't look that bad.

People just react without thinking. The deal isn't that bad and Timmy is better now than when he left and is still only 25

I don't understand why Tim Hardaway Jr. would get $20M more than Dion Waiters when Waiters is the better player. Plus a trade kicker?

We might as well have just offered Holiday more money.

Is Hardaway really going to make more than Jonathan Simmons and Dion Waiters?

I think the Knicks wanted to give a contract that the Hawks won't match. If they offered a Waiters contract, he'd likely be back with the Hawks.

I know, as if the only alternatives here are trade Lee and give THJR this horrific contract or keep Lee.

These # are skewed

Tyler Johnson only made 6 million this year. His deal was poison pilled and backloaded

JJ was a 1 year dal

Give me all but Wesley Mathews and Batum over THJR. Come on.

Lee's contract is 1 year shorter and he's already over 30. He also makes 5 million less a year. Don't exaggerate it

Well look at it like this, if they do match it will have been a brilliant maneuver to screw over a conference rival for 4 years with a terrible contract

Return to New York Knicks
