Yes it eats into our money

yea this is why the number 1 pick has to be included to get AD .

the clippers being on his list probably means that behind the scenes people think kwahi to the clippers is a lock too

No way I'd trade for AD right now. We're getting everyone in the offseason.

Kyrie Irving obviously comes here, along with Kevin Durant. We still have Ntilikina, Trier, 2020 First, 2021 First (Mavs). I do it the more I think about it. The Knicks will still suck, maybe win a few more games but will likely be a top 5 pick. NO should consider.

Knox should hold higher value as he’s what 4 years younger.

Robinson is one of the most interesting prospects in basketball, could be dominate.

And DSJr is more dominate than Ball.

The Knicks 2019 pick >>>>> Lakers Picks.
21 pick will be a high 20’s pick. So not much of a loss for us.

To me this does beat the Lakers' offer. Gun to head I think I take Knox over Ingram.

Who gives up money between Kyrie and KD? Cuz we'd be about a min of 5 mill short of being able to offer the max to the both of them.

AD here would almost guarantee Kevin Durant or Kyrie Irving, right? One or the other. Even if AD didn't commit before 2020, as long as he was willing to give NY a chance and experience playing with KD or Kyrie, that would go a long way. **** it, you gotta do it if you can.

I saw Hahn on facebook live earlier today and he said we will for sure get a meeting with KD, he knows it for fact and he doesn't think Frank will get traded because our front office thinks he's a guy that needs a couple of years

It looks like you will have the NEw Big 3. KD, AD and Kyrie.

if these guys win it all in NY, it's instant immortality. You guys are still celebrating the champs form the 70's

As a Celtics fan, i'd much rather see NY become relevant again rather than LA getting their way all the time.

Work needs to be done but things are lining up nicely.

Pierce saying why would AD come if he wants to win. He’s literally the most biased Boston person I’ve came across.. doesn’t he realize THEY CAN EASILY SIGN KYRIE AND DURANT. He dumb dumb. Everyone somehow knows this but of course Pierce is dumbfounded

Pretty sure that's not true. KD's contract would start at 38m, Kyrie at 33m. They project to have 74m in space, enough for both guys. They'd actually have a tiny bit of money left over.

They're definitely taking a pay cut to build a Big 3 in NY. Even if they could make 5 mill more somewhere else, the commercial and sponsorship money and legacy they'd get in NY is worth way more than that. They'd be stupid to not take a pay cut

And the Pels would be stupid not to accept the Knicks offer. It's better than anything the Lakers can put on the table.

I don’t think AD happens but crazier things do happen. Unfortunately for you, I’m pretty certain we do sign Kyrie along side Durant. Very shocked Kyrie backed up, but Kyrie must know something to take a step back from his commitment when Porzingis was dealt. He did make a statement being aware of the Knicks clearing cap space trading KP. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Cousins sign in Boston, our div would he a blood bath

There are zero guarantees when it comes to the New York Knicks. Need I remind you about 2010?

I think if we don't get the top pick, it will make it look like we are getting less than they want. If we do get it, we may prefer Zion. Kind of a damned if you do or don't.

But I'm fine giving up Zion if it means a Big 3. The rebuild hasn't gone entirely according to plan but at the same time, it's giving us the assets we need to form a superteam overnight ... perhaps.

That is unprecedented but certainly the numbers should work out. Knicks should fight for every scrap though. One extra player and one extra pick could put us over the top in terms of depth around a Big 3.
