nah it's not like I made that post at the bottom of page 1 and the top of page 2 and all up and down the thread praising him and supporting the pick and explaining why he's good while you were lamenting the loss of dotson, who they say played tonight but I don't recall much other than an air ball 3
I'm a bigger UK fan than Knicks fan, I didn't want to go overboard because of homer glasses. But it's true I didn't expect the knicks to give him the opportunity to show what he could do this early because we have failed to develop many other players
Hey hey hey. Your not going to get completely out of this

Remember pre draft we had that battle that I thought this draft class was deep and had the back and forth with you that I was confused why Malik Monk was such a higher rated prospect than Quickley but Quickley was more productive and seemed like some with a better work ethic. I think Quickley was everything people wanted in Monk with an actually basketball mind.
Yeah that's fair. The reasons why he was a higher rated prospect are still the same though. I just was high on Monk and was clearly wrong about it. Hopefully Quickley lays off drugs. Plus you know, it's one game. Monk made Berman put out articles like this after his first couple games. He had potential. More me being bewildered that Malik never put it together.
https://nypost.com/2017/11/08/hornets-rookie-showed-knicks-the-potential-they-passed-on/If there's one thing I can say (way too early) is that Quickley has demonstrated an ability to play at the 1 that Monk was never able to reach. I think I mentioned in that convo that GMs had hoped Monk would be able to develop into a PG. Quickley was viewed more as a 2, but if last night was any indication and he can truly run the point at an NBA level that made him super underrated. Calipari had been saying Quickley really could play at the 1 and never did at UK because of the other guards, nobody was sure if that was all smoke or not, looks like it wasn't
Quickley seems to have much better intangibles and mental makeup than Monk. It’s hard to assess that and that is often the reason guys seem to go lower in the draft than they should have.
