The Knicks are a serious after thought among the people of NYC right now. I work for transit and most of my co workers I run into either A) hate the Knicks and stopped following the NBA because of years of torture they’ve been subjected to by them B) started following individual players mainly Lebron since the Knicks haven’t gotten their act together in so long or C) have taken up converting to Nets fans
Good point on hopefully forcing Dolan to be competent.
Those Knick fans at work who became Nets fans? Not real Knick fans to begin with.
Dolan doesn't care about that. They did have real dollars though, and Dolan might start caring about those walking away if the Nets can take a big enough bite out of his pie.
The issue with Dolan is not really that he doesn't care, it's that he's completely clueless about how to make this a competent organization, and his ego always gets in the way. Our only hope is that Leon Rose is smarter than what James Dolan hired him to be.
I mean, last time James Dolan reacted to the Nets acquiring KG and Paul Pierce, he thought trading for Bargnani would make us a better team. He actually did something, obviously for the worse. He's just stupid. 20 years and we've only had one good season.
