it's all pain, discomfort, and slight swelling

it makes sense for him to be favoring it a little but it doesn't mean he can't play. he was medically cleared and definitely got another look and opinion at halftime.

what does being a grown man have to do with anything...you have a coach and trainers for a reason. He is clearly laboring.

You’re acting like he’s some high schooler that needs to be told when his body doesn’t feel right. He’s a professional athlete and should be able to make that decision himself. All a trainer can do is give him guidance. Hes the only one that can feel whatever issue he’s having and if he says he can go that’s on him.

so if he says he's a go...and you clearly see his form compromised and flexing it every time he has to move the elbow...you don't do anything and just leave him out there?

Sure if it’s obvious that he’s hurting the team but he seems to be playing fine though.
