I'm not anti Stewart or pro precious. I think they're pretty similar players with a lil differences. I'd just rather focus more on a wing than a C/pf type for already said reasons.

Precious has more defensive versatility, Stewart is really just a small C that can guard the 5 and 5 alone. They don't play him and Duren together anymore because he can't guard quick 4s, whereas I feel like in a series against the Magic you could put Precious on the floor and have him guard Paolo, or go get him on Giannis against the Bucks and he'll hold his own on a switch against Lillard.

I think the differences between them are pretty big, Precious is much better cross matching and getting caught on an island against guards and he can defend physical wings and 4s as well because he has more foot speed.


I'd keep Precious over Mitch, ideally the trade to make would be Mitch for Cody Martin and Nick.

Yeah much rather have the big that can switch onto guards and wings. Pass on Stewart, especially with his high price tag.

I don't even understand why they don't play him at times, especially when we're playing against young teams who are playing 2 way guys. He's somehow still + on the season too, unlike Kolek and Huk, so he's doing something right when he's on the floor despite spending a lot of minutes with bad lineups.

Wins don't only count against the best in the league. ALL wins count, against both good AND bad teams. And home court advantage matters when teams win the most of their 82 games -- again, against both good AND bad teams.

After decades of dysfunction, we finally have a competent front office, a consistent coach, a team loaded with (possibly) multiple all-stars and (maybe) an MVP. We're a top 3 team in the east and finally an elite and respectable team in all of the NBA. That's worth celebrating.

Sure, we're beating teams we're supposed to beat. However, that's all part of the process. Don't discount it.

I liked what I saw defensively. I don't think it would hurt. But I just don't see it with thibs. Have to give him a more vet option. Shamet is not big enough.

Knicks had a chance at one of them for free in the draft with Dunn but the only problem is he would have cost more in rookie contract than Pac so might have prevented the Knicks from be able to swing the KAT deal later. Knicks FO intended to stash him until he wanted to come over now and why he took less than the rookie scale which Dunn wouldn't have.

Dunn is OG-like, less capable offensively right now but on defense, very little drop off from the original OG.

Maybe he is terrible in practice. Also while he looks strong on defense he has been bodied a few times for boards. Either way he looks serviceable for some mins here and there to keep og fresh. Especially in blow outs or like you said to match other teams youth.

Precious gives us something of an OG approximation. Maybe his 3 ball can become semi-consistent.

I swear right after Josh signed that contract knives were out and I felt like the only one defending him. Had to fight off lots of people calling him overpaid and now everybody loves him. Glad everyone learned ball finally

I had a similar memory of that time and just went back to look at the post I made contextualizing the deal and how good it could be, and in retrospect it seems like it wasn't a high volume of people, but instead a few people at high volume.

IMO, given the inconsistency of OG and Mikal on offense, Hart has been the 3rd best player on the team this year. There's been very few bad Hart games at all.

So many fans complained about his contract at the time because he's a weird archetype and was approaching his 30's but, on a good team you really see his value. Glad Leon was able to see that vision with him and block out the criticism.

He fills so many gaps as long as you don't need him doing much heavy lifting in the half court offense.

If he's being a willing shooter he's basically the perfect modern role playing guard. He's our Derrick White.
