It does seem bad when you write it down like that. Almost as bad as Thibs' coaching.

Last year, I get it. But with KAT, I don't see the point of it. KAT should be getting more FGs imho. That 3 from way downtown is proof.

Absolutely. The two KAT shots was him bailing out the Knicks with incredible shots b/c the play was Brunson ISO, getting shut down and we had almost no time left.

We got realy lucky we have such an incredible offensive player like KAT to make those insane shots. We never had that before as a 2nd option probably my entire Knicks lifetime.

One day if we get a new coach who doesn’t do this nonsense, ppl will suddenly be like oh yeah Thibs was insane for running offense like this. It’s only b/c he’s the Knicks coach now that they ignore it. It’s no different than Mike Woodson ISO Joe

Then he comes back, puts his cape on, and drags us back into the game single-handedly.

Sometimes superheroes should play Hero ball. That's why they are superheroes.

He also found KAT and Bridges late. Him taking over opened up the rest.
That's exactly why he stays aggressive. It's crucial for opening everything else up.

He strikes the right balance 80-90% of the time because he's a winner.

If he didn't, he wouldn't win so damn much

Exactly.

He did have a bad Game 2 and forced when he should have looked around. It happens. Course correct today. What a game he had!

From an Xs and Os standpoint, Thibs has his faults.

But as far as the bench, I've said this a million times, that's the front office's job to force Thibs to play a wider rotation and get more points from the bench.

If I'm being brutally honest, I already think Thibs is compromising by giving these minutes to Mitch, Payne, Shamat and Deuce.

If there is one thing people said about Michael Jordan it is that he should have deferred more in the playoffs...

For sure. But all I'm saying is I want KAT to play more hero ball too and get more shots. There's still some instances where Knicks look like the Knicks from last PO.

If we make it out of this series, and play the Celtics, I think that's what needs to happen for us to have a chance. Otherwise, it'll just be easy defensive game plans for the Celtics and another 2nd round exit.

I'm definitely not saying Brunson needs to start playing like Steve Nash lol

Just let other people cook in the beginning then he will have more space later in the game.

Other people can't cook early If Brunson isn't applying constant pressure. He's the only creator on the team.

If we are going to do the MJ comparisons... he did see a small dip in PPG and FGA in his PJAX/championship years compared to the Doug Collin years.

Yeah... Ima be honest. I hardly watch NBA ball outside the Knicks and a couple of other teams. I definitely thought KAT was just going to be a Randle 2.0 stat padder. And I also thought he was going to be soft. But he's been great all around.
