I agree. I just wont be surprised if the league makes sure the series is extended. If league interference wasn't a concern. I would call a sweep.

The North remembers. The Knicks remember (last season). Knicks in 5.

Reggie is one of the most fairest analysis out there. Was pro-Knick when they started turning the corner.

This is very true. But now they are playing HIS team in a big time series, his biases may start to permeate through.

95% of that is manufactured drama because some of it is fun. Miller knows the game. He's a national analysis. When he started on this career, he basically said he wants to be impartial. And has been true. He absolutely loves his job.

He really didn’t last time. He’s not trying to **** up his bag. He loves this job. And I think he’s good at it.

Outside the lines when he’s just representing Reggie, it’s whatever tho.

Reggie seems to be very objective as an analyst. I really don't see him being unprofessional. He's not a narcissist that eats his own ass like Draymond does.

Honestly we see Breen do it all the time, it's not difficult to call an impartial game.

Boston fans got mad at Richard Jefferson for calling out the poor officiating during the NY/BOS series when he was literally being objective. It's not like Richard is a closet Knicks fan  he was just doing his job.

Heh, not for nothing, but RJ being a straight shooter with the Knicks (these last couple of years) is still a revelation to me.

Don't forget to sprinkle the angel dust on there too! Space base!! Turner vs KAT. I've seen a lot on here but, this one is pretty wild.

Not it is not wild. Not at all. If you look at the last 3 seasons, Turner has matured into a player that averages 17points per game on 50%/38%/77%. On offense he is still somewhat limited overall but he does fulfill his role as a modern shooting big pretty perfectly. On defense he blows KAT out of the water in almost any imaginable defensive category other than rebounding. He is elite at protecting the rim and he can guard the perimeter as well as the post.

On offense I would give Turner a 7/10. KAT gets a 9/10. On defense Turner gets an 8/10 but KAT gets at most like a 4 or 5/10.

KAT is the clearly better offensive player but on defense it is no contest. For whatever reason Turner is a bad rebounder, otherwise he'd win that contest. Mitch and Turner are somewhat different on defense but imagine someone along the lines of Robinson, able to get 17points, shoot 3s and shoot close to 80% from the ft line. It would be a no brainer.

Fans generally underestimate how problematic KAT's defensive deficiencies are for the Knicks. If they watch a game and KAT scores a couple baskets, makes those long drives and hits a 3 it looks spectacular and has you thinking "KAT is fantastic". The lack of defense is not always that eyepopping but it costs the Knicks tons of points.

And if you look at the playoffs specifically the difference in points is a mere 3 points per game. Turner the last 3 seasons has averaged like 16/8 on 50/45%/77% in the playoffs in like 31 games. KAT has average 19/10. Especially in the playoffs the difference on offense is not even that big.

Put down that lightbulb

If the Knicks play defense like they did in game 6, they will win this series. If they don't, then Indiana will pretty much routinely find the soft spot and then it becomes a series of variance.

this, he's actually pretty pro-knick lol, I rather him then the others on the network. Screw the player, analyst is fine.

Imo, Reggie is probably the best color-analyst currently. He's essentially always objective, has the inside the game knowledge, but even though he was a number 1 option on a good team is not so far removed from what the average player goes through (unlike, just taking a random example of a player from the same era, Magic [edit]meh, I suppose Magic is ~6 years older than Reggie, but w/e).

[edit] Also, doesn't have hang ups about how things were better back in the day and 3pt shooting is the death of basketball and so on.

THIS........I don't see a way indi wins more then 1 game, it'll be game 4 to stave off elimination. They will try to have 1 or 2 guys leak out on our shots trying to cherry pick and fast break but will they get the board over Mitch/KAT/Hart? I don't think so, they will then have to send another person to crash to not get killed on the boards and that completely derails what they want to do offensively. Very simple, Knicks rebound, they win this series pretty quickly, No disrespect at all, they are the better team.

Turners unwillingness to adapt an offensive post game is something I want us to attack defensively with our matchups. He’s pick and pop primarily (but Hali will hit him an occasional role for a dunk).

Force Haliburton to take midrange shots on P&Rs. He’s not comfortable with those yet. Drop may work with him if Siakam is screening. Will work if Mitch/KAT gets a hand high to contest but stay back.

If Turner is setting the screen, switch it, GET A HAND HIGH, and make hali drive. Don’t let him get comfortable with open 3’s.

Whomever Hali is guarding, that’s who I’m sending hard to the glass

The pacers fan that got hit with a garbage bag got exactly what he deserved I condone it 100% and hopefully any other attention seeker acting like like a clown outside msg gets similar treatment. The garbage he got hit with represents everyone in Indiana. FAFO

I fully expect Knicks fans to get hit with bags of corn when they invade their arena for game 3 and 4...so Knicks fans be safe and wear your Knicks colored riot gear...those corn bags are heavy.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

I really wonder why someone would wear a rival team's jersey on the street at night, especially when there is no Pacers game that night to justify such behavior. That is simply inviting trouble.

If this happened in the UK, Argentina, or any country with intense British football (soccer) rivalries, and someone did the same as this poor Hicks fan, much "massive" objects would surely be thrown.

Kendrick Perkins Didn't Hesitate When Asked To Name Best Player Left In NBA Playoffs

There are four teams left in the 2025 NBA playoffs: the Indiana Pacers, New York Knicks, Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Knicks and Pacers play each other in the Eastern Conference Finals, while the Timberwolves and Thunder clash in the Western Conference Finals.

On Monday's episode of NBA Today, former Boston Celtics center and current ESPN NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins was asked by Malika Andrews who the best player left in the postseason is and the one-time NBA champion didn't mince words.

Perkins, who won the 2008 championship with the Celtics, went with Knicks All-Star point guard Jalen Brunson.

The Knicks beat the Detroit Pistons in the first round in six games and took out the Celtics in the second round in six games.

New York is in the conference finals for the first time since 2000.

Brunson is averaging 28.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 7.7 assists in the 2025 postseason while shooting 44.0% from the field, 36.3% from beyond the arc and 81.9% from the free-throw line.

The 28-year-old Brunson has never been to the NBA Finals, while the Knicks haven't been to the NBA Finals since 1999.

New York lost the 1999 NBA Finals to the San Antonio Spurs in five games.

After beginning his career with the Dallas Mavericks, Brunson joined the Knicks in the summer of 2022. The lefty is averaging 26.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 6.7 assists in the regular season and 29.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists in the postseason in a New York uniform.

call to action icon
It will be fascinating to see if Brunson can lead the Knicks to the championship this season. Indiana defeated New York in the second round of last year's postseason, so Brunson and Co. can't overlook Tyrese Haliburton's squad.

People threw garbage at Windhorst. Has less to do with the jersey and more to do with douchebag ‘fans’ who need a beating.

Yeah same here. Still I'm against throwing a trash can at someone but I still agree to a certain degree....if you put on a Haliburton jersey and walk up there, basically your sole and only idea and mission is to try to get under people's skin. Your whole intention is nothing else than trying to stir up stuff and be destructive. So he kinda got what he was asking for.

Windhorst was a different story....really poor taste throwing anything at him. Dude is usually really respectful. Can't blame him for thinking the Celtics would have the upper hand.

Yeah like the only thing that has me still a bit nervous is that the Knicks have been somewhat very inconsistant with their defense and energy. At times they look terrific and then game 3 and 5 against Boston happen where they look completely flat and uninspired for some reason.

If they come out with high intensity in all games then I'm positive the Knicks will win in 5 or 6 games. If they come out flat then the score can go out of reach quickly.
