Seem like you guys want what old Knicks used to do waste big money on washed up names, I thought we got passed that way of thinking?
Since when did Dwayne Wade become an option this summer? I haven't heard Wade linked to the Knicks since summer 2010.
Any Knicks fan who wants Wade or suggests him at this point in his career shouldn't be taken seriously.
I think you're wrong.
Anyhoo...
We have to start off with a ECF team. LMA/Melo I believe is a reasonable core. Name me a player that we have a shot at other than Wade that has the talent and production to help a core of LMA/Melo beat Lebron.
...Exactly.
Wade is a has been if you expect him to play 82 games /35min and carry this team. But don't you think that a healthy, rested Wade...say 60 games...can be the #1 option during the playoffs for a championship team? I do.
Now , if you think winning a chip with Melo in the next 3 years has a 0% chance of happening, and you want to sign Middleton so we can be a really good playoff team with a younger, rising player---I get it--and I will support Phil in this regard.
But if you want to go after a chip with Melo in the next 2 to 3 years...give me another guard in free agency that you think can do it and I'll be on board...especially if he's younger and cheaper.
