Melo to Clippers
Griffin + Barnes + Shumpert to Suns
Dragic + Goodwin + Okafor + Minnesota's 2014 1st (via Suns) + Washington's 2014 1st (via Suns) + Suns top 5 protected 2014 1st

I can't, they always recognize me as a Knicks fan and decide the trade sucks because of it.

I would kill for this trade. Then get a developmental coach, give him 3-5 years to develop young talent, and get Dolan arrested on trumped-up charges. Then we'd have a future.

In the light of the report that the Phoenix Suns are looking to package some of their draft picks for a Superstar...This trade for Phoenix would of course be contingent on Melo signing an extension which I'm not quite sure he would want to do

NY trades:
Melo

Pho trades:
Okafor
Marcus Morris
Was 2014 1st round pick (top 12 protected) (most likely in the 15-18 range)
Ind 2014 1st round pick (lottery protected) (most likely in the 27-30 range)
LAL 2015 1st round pick (top 5 protected) (most likely in the 20-25 range) or Pho 2015 1st round pick (lottery protected)

Why for NY:
They can't seem to get their team turned around and they realize they need to get value for Melo so they do not get the Cavs treatment. They get a solid young player in Marcus Morris with a cheap contract and then 3 draft picks that will all most likely be 15 or lower, but if they draft well can still be very valuable.

Why for Pho:
They get a superstar in Melo and the draft picks they are giving up will not be in the lottery so they do not hold as much value as people might think, but anyway they now would be a playoff team in the Western Conference and Melo now gets to play with two young point guards better than he has played with before. Plus, this would probably make it easier to sign bledsoe to an extension

I honestly think we could make the playoffs this year with that team and then go for a proper rebuild next year with our pick.

In the East, I think the current roster can make 8th seed, where they will get molested by the Pacers or Heat then discarded like so much pre-season scrimmage fodder. I don't care about that. Because I'm 41 years old, I only care about eventually getting a ring before I die; I was a year old when they last did it. If we can get a couple of high quality first-round picks (and, with this organization, who the hell knows if they know how to even draft right; isn't Baron Davis our head scout? lol), develop them properly (or flip them for better, but still young and promising, pieces), acquire a real superstar like Durant or Anthony Davis at their peak, 2017/2018 isn't an implausible target-date. But I'm still waiting on Kate Moss to get old enough and washed up enough to date me, so WTF do I know?

If i'm the Knicks and I can do a Melo for Griffin plus a few assets (ie Bullock and a #1). If I can't trade Griffin to Denver for my 2014 and 2016 picks back I keep Griffin and use Shump to get Lowry. Then trade Griffin for a lotto pick and another asset on draft night.

Go into 2015 with 2 top 10 picks on the roster (2014, 2015) along with all future picks, plus an additional pick or 2 and $50 million in cap space.

Guys i dont believe melo would go clippers. New york is larger market. Knicks vs clippers fan base is obviously knicks better.
If blake griffin for melo trade happens nothing would change. Clippers wont be contender.
Melo go away from knicks only for a ring. They, clippers dont offer this. He can go for free agent and it woupd be better for him.
Also for knicks side. Knicks basically have same team with last year. All players underperforming this year.

Its.obviously woodsons fault. All players plays bad its coachs fault.

Chandler come back from injury+fire woodson+ little trade like sending shumpert for lowry or waiters sth.
Our team will be 4th 5th seed in east.
Also trading melo isnt solution.

He is top 5 player in the league. I dont want rebuilding with dolan. If he goes i'm ok with rebuilding.

Why?

- This trade for the Thunder is all about winning now & improving their bench. Thunder get their 6th man that they've been missing, plus with Sefolosha's departure they get to upgrade Lamb to a starter while not losing anything from the bench. Felton adds an interesting dimension to the Thunder's bench / close out time because they can play Felton & Westbrook together much like Maynor & Westbrook were playing together a couple years ago. Lets get real with Jackson too, Thunder aren't gonna be able to pay him once he hits free agency because some team will look at him as their future PG & overpay him. So might as well get something now.

Westbrook / Felton
Lamb / JR
Durant / Jones
Ibaka / Collison
Perkins / Adams

- Knicks get their PG of the future while shedding some major salary which is totally worth it at the expense of another future 1st. They also get a pretty good 3/D guy in Thabo Sefolosha. Thabeet gives the Knicks another big man which they clearly need now with Tyson trying to get back & K-Mart just going out.
