and billups is actually a good 3pt shooter, Felton was just masquerading as one.

Gotta give credit where credits due Ujiri played us really really bad. They got the same deal that we apparently declined a couple of days ago by using the Nets as leverage. Incredible.

Chandler is gone so its pretty much,Curry dosent matter and 1st is from AR im guessing

Gallo, Felton. Thats what we give up for Billups and Melo

Melo>>>> Gallo
Billups is a serviceable starting PG

Considering AR doesn't play, and Felton hasn't been my favorite player to say the least, I am down for this trade.

Property tax, endorsements, padded stats will lead to an awesome next contract. Don't cry for Felton

This is OK but steep. We stop there.

Wow!

How could we possibly offer more than that? I'd be pretty surprised if Walsh already offered that much. It looks like he's serious about getting a deal done this weekend.

Ugh. We're getting raped. I want Melo just as much as the next guy but this trade sucks.

I think that has to be our final offer.

Still not sure how that beats Favors, Harris and four 1st round draft picks but we will see.

I don't think it has to. If Carmelo knows we're making an offer that strong, there's no reason for him to sign an extension with the Nets. He can say "the Knicks are offering you a big package, the ball is in your court."

I believe it is plain as day that Melo is not willing to take this to free agency. So that means we have to beat the Nets offer, otherwise the Nuggets tell Melo they couldn't get a deal done with us.

Basically, the Nuggets are now doing the Nets and Knicks dirty because Melo has made it clear he wants his scrilla.
Play time is over.

unless im seriously missing something, why are people acting like this deal is done? nothing that has been reported about this situation to this point has had any inkling of being concrete...seriously am i missing something? what is going on? We should only be so lucky to have that deal done.
