I can't believe there's anybody who doesn't believe Lin is real at this point. Kid is playing smart ball while being the focus of the defense. 3 assists already despite being consistently trapped by 7 footers.

This is the problem with Amar'e. Look at all the BS we have to do on the defensive end because the coaching staff knows there is no point in putting Amar'e on Dirk.

Shump is now basically irrelevant for the whole first half, Amar'e is giving up easy shots to Marion, and Jeffries had to come in the game a lot earlier than usual. It will kill our rotation and you will see the problems it will cause when Amar'e, Jeffries, and Chandler all need breathers at the same time.

Never is a crazy thing to say - Amar'e can definitely contribute on a winner, but both he and Melo need to realise that they have to focus on defense first.

Nobody thought that Boston would come together quite as well as they did, but the reason it worked is that KG, Allen and Pierce all buckled down on D and focused on that first, knowing that their offensive talent would provide enough points as long as they defended.

Carmelo did it in the Olympics - If D'Antoni can't get he and STAT to do it for the Knicks, then he needs to be sacked.

I wouldn't trade Amar'e before I'd tried this combination with a different (read: better) coach.
