I won't be done with the Knicks. But I will root for Lin to drop 25 and 10 on us every time he plays us. Thats what our front office deserves.

how can this be any worse than the last decade? Without Lin, the knicks are still formidable. I still think melo or amar'e should be trade. I think the knicks have one of the best center in the Nba. The bench is too old but ok, and JR is too stupid but can get real hot. Novak right now without Lin I don't feel so good about his new contract.

Was a Knicks fan before Linsanity (but Lin has also been my favourite player since 2010). If he goes, I'll still support the Knicks, but I wish nothing but misery on the Knicks PG spot, just so it's made clear that if they let him go, they've made the wrong choice.

And I pray that every night Lin visits the Garden he drops 50 on us. This is the only time I ever have (and ever will) wish a loss upon the Knicks.

Who needs a global sensation when the Knicks can field the all-DWI team?

Novak was just fine without Lin down the stretch.

I'll still be a fan - disappointed sure, but I'll still be here.

Man I honestly can't believe some of the straight bull posted by bandwagoners in here, will be glad to see the back of them. Or they will troll the place the whole season I guess.

I think you shouldn't.

Not everyone saying they are gonna stop supporting the team is a bandwagoner.

I'm done... who am I going to root for; Carmelo? JR? Felton? Woodson?

I like Novack and Chandler, but I have a feeling they'll be marginalized.

If Knicks don't match Lin I'm just not going to follow the Knicks closely anymore. I'm still rooting for them but until something good happens to this franchise I'll probably stay low key. It's very hard to root for this mess of a team, wish NY has a competent franchise.

You all are going to give up on the franchise for Jeremy Lin? I could understand if it was Carmelo maybe but Jeremy Lin? Good riddance then.

He's not even the third best player on this team. He's an average point guard, albeit better than Raymond Felton.

Lin leaving could possibly be the best thing to happen to this forum. It might be in turmoil for a couple days but eventually cooler heads will prevail and it'll be in a better shape thanks to the annoying Lin fanboys moving to the Rockets forum.

And what has Melo done that would cause anyone to act like this if he left? Why would you "understand" if it was Melo? Because you're another Melo fanboy like the Lin fanboys? Go find a better hero before talking down to others.

You want to ban those who would stay fans, but keep the banwagoners?

If you made it through the Isiah and Layden years I'm not sure how this is the breaking point for you. I'd be disappointed if Lin's deal isn't matched, but I'd be lying to myself if I said I wouldn't be a Knick fan anymore because of it.

Anyone who would leave the team because of this wasn't a fan of the team to begin with.

I'll still watch the Knicks but it'll just be another "team" for me and business as usual. The melo, Amare, Felton, and Kidd combination seems hilarious but not a serious competitive team. There's a lot of potential for drama there to be milked.

I will watch whatever team Lin ends up on too. I think that kid is just pure excitement and energy wherever he ends up.

@robinlundberg Rooting for the Knicks is like rooting for Wile E. Coyote.

Like I tell my friends, I'm a Knick fan before I'm Asian American. I'll probably still hope the best for Lin if he leaves but I'd rather see the Knicks do well than see him do well. Don't count on me supporting his success if it's at the expense of the Knicks. Knicks for life, for better or for worse.

If the Knicks are not gonna match they should just announce it officially already. Spare fans the misery. Make it quick.

Man I'm in a sh** mood today...
