Can't wait to see how this gets twisted

Once Melo gets the ball, it sticks. That's the offense. What is there to run?

Even NBA players get tired of running around, making cuts and then watching the best player hoist a shot 90% of the time. Notice I didn't say Melo never passes. He does, and in fact makes some nice passes. And I truly get that your best scorer should take the most shots and iso at times.

But there is no denying that the ball sticks to Melo and he'll force it up against multiple defenders several times too many a game, at least.

And the margin for winning/losing in the NBA is quite often 10 or less points, so those possessions matter. Now, the Knicks have a lot of other possessions where it isn't Melo's fault, but he easily has 3 head scratching possessions a game.

I see.

We can never get **** right at the same time. But I think it's easier to find a competent coach than a competent team(which we have).

Knicks schedule isn't too bad the next 4 days. He could have played KP more than 20 minutes. Doubt most are asking for 35 minutes. How about 25 mpg?

4-6 isn't too bad considering, not that worried about the record yet. I'm still thinking about that nice turnaround banker on the baseline from KP. Imagine when he gets stronger.

Didn't see a foul on the rebound attempt and he should have caught the alley oop.

Can't wait to see Cavs lose in the playoffs again.

Just finished watching the replay. Lemme see if I got this straight...

The Knicks, who have played about 10 games together and only 2 with the current lineup, lost a game that came down to the last 2 minutes against the reigning ECF champs, most of whom have played at least a half season together, and have the highest payroll in the league, including the best player in the league.

And y'all wanna fire the coach.

Makes sense...

Yeah. Cause the Knicks could have won with better rotations. Lets not act as if bad coaching cant lose games. Fisher killed us with the rotations late in the game.

Maybe. Maybe not. Look I'm definitely not saying Fish is a great coach or whatever, but I don't think you fire a guy 10 games in, especially when the last losses have been extremely competitive against top comp.

Most pundits & fans have us missing the playoffs this year. Did you expect wins against the likes of the Cavs (2x) or the Spurs?

thats what they said he was gonna be playing at the start. They can start and increase his minutes if they feel safe with it, i'm just not completely sure its good for his knees. Rolo should teach him how to stand properly as you see him always being little bent in his knees to have less pressure on them and he only goes full length when really necessary. Porzingis is just standing/moving full length all the time, which has massive pressure on his knees.

I thought players not executing down the stretch cost us both games. Melo running out of gas last night cost us the Cle game more than any substitutions.

Prozingis was not aggressive enough. He was trying too hard to stay out of foul trouble. Limits his effectiveness on the defensive end.

Regardless of coaching, we were playing really great until the 4th quarter. Good defense, we were moving the ball....it was fun to watch... It just all fell apart in the 4th. Although fisher was over coaching (or under) as usual, there were more problems then just that.

We should win that one despite Fisher. Anthony Davis probably won't play and Jrue isn't particularly speedy, so Jose should be able to stay in front of him most of the time.

LMAO @ people wanting to replace Fisher with Luke Walton, who gets to coach Steph Curry and the reigning NBA champions this year. I guess GS is undefeated because Walton's rotations are great and the timing of his timeouts are impeccable.

You people are dumb as dirt. I can see why people make fun of Knicks fans and root against us.

A lot of the same posters who constantly find something to be unhappy about, or who are constantly looking for someone the Knicks should fire or cut ties with... there will come a day when those people turn on Porzingis, too. After he gets paid, he will not be allowed to win less than 60 games a year, and he will not be allowed to fall short of an NBA title in any year. And in any season that does not continue the Knicks' tradition of dominating the NBA, heads will roll and star players will be boo'd and ridiculed until their spirit breaks and they no longer have respect for the city they play for. Because we, here in NY, have very high standards. And clearly, holding "our" team to these high standards has yielded great results for nearly 15 years. Why stop now?

Fire Derek Fisher 10 games in. Let's start chanting it at the Garden and posting it all over the internet so the players get the message, too. I'm sure they hate Fisher anyway. The fact that the team is playing so hard, especially on the defensive end, is one of the first signs of frustration. The comradery between the players shows Fisher is on the outside looking in. Let's help the players and the franchise by driving this guy out of town and forcing Rambis to step in, or by forcing Phil to search for an NBA coach elsewhere. Most importantly, let's help our rookie, Porzingis. Let's show him that we're ready to go to bat for him and drive his coach out of town if the team isn't winning. He's been playing professionally for a couple of years now. He should know- if you lose a few games in a row, all you have to do is fire the team's coach and the wins will start pouring in. Hopefully, all the good things KP has been doing has nothing at all to do with the way he's been coached thus far. This way, he doesn't lose a step with a new leader and a new voice in his ear this sudden and this early in the season.

Really though, with only 8 new players, this should have been easy. After a long stretch of 10 games and the toughest schedule in the league, I expected them to be battle-tested. 4-6 is unacceptable from this lying, cheating, homewrecking, fake-ass coach. They should have gotten things together by now. There's no time for experimentation because the time to win a title is NOW. He has no right to test his players, he has no right to hold his players to a certain standard, and he has no right to make decisions based on personal preferences about defense and matchups. He also has no right to go with his own gut and decide in-game who he trusts in what situation based on what he's seen having been with the team every single day since September. Fisher should know exactly who to play and when he should play them and also for how long, and it has to jive with what the fans want and expect exactly. Because we pay his salary. And because we know best, and there's no room for error on his or the players' part. So when the players he signed and traded for step in the game, they should be ready to close out any team in any situation because..... because..... MOM!!!! ARE MY HOTPOCKETS READY YET!!!!!!!!!!!!

With fisher coaching like an idiot. We are never going to have consistency. Every team has their rotation down packed. But not the knicks.
