The problem with signing players was never who our GM/President was. It was the moves they made and position they set up the team as. We need to worry about making savy moves and set the team up more then trying to swing for grand slams when nobody is even on base.
Yeah, talk about our own confirmation bias.
We thought Mills got let go because "He was going to trade all teh assets!"
He really got let go because Dolan got shamed over crowing for stars on TV; Mills was doomed from moment Durant & Kyrie didn't sign and team sucked with other FA's.
It confirms Randle was a "panic move" to appease Dolan, and not "young guy who could be part of the core!"
And I know it was stated by others, and I JOKED about it, but said "maybe Mills is being fired for not being aggressive ENOUGH in trading for DLo etc"
Maybe that was in fact the case; Dolan wants a splash.
Or, Dolan was embarrassed off season and then again with the chants at MSG and panicked.
But it's funny that it's probably not "Oh noes, Mills is trading assets"
I was guilty of it as was most everyone.

The fact that nerd ass Bill couldn’t put two and two together is hilarious.
