Actually a pretty solid answer from him and I agree it might be RJ as the leader moving fwd. he puts the work in, he looks like he’s taking that next step. He’s producing on the floor. He’s actually earned the title instead of having it thrust upon him. Knicks fans should be ecstatic with that response from Hahn.

Yeah man. Take it, RJ.

It's hard being an a-hole.. I always found it easy. :D

RJ seems like a reasonable person but you can tell he HATES losing. I can totally see him saying **** it this is mine. Obi's gonna take his too. That kid also knows how to win. I think we've got two good ones there and Mitch ain't like that but he can play.

I dunno, I certainly wouldn't mind adding a couple of those names

Personal preference.

Drummond/Love worse than Randle/Payton. I’d still rather have RJ > Sexton, Mitch > Okoro, and Obi > Garland. Knox and Quickley are just gravy. I think Cleveland has a better record than us in 2020 which means our 1st > their 1st, which is the only thing that really matters for either squad tbh.

The only thing I’d give them an advantage on is Comic Sans Serif > Jimmy Dolan.

Oh I wasn't trying to compare ours to theirs, just joking that I wouldn't mind if we could add Garland & Okoro to our young core

Yeah I loved how obi would cut on rolls where Mitch was doubled team and vice versa

Rookies out play the vets by a long mile. I don’t care how much Randles contract is, sit his fat ass on the bench

Does payton even fit here in any capacity? Im missing what he brings to the knicks at this juncture. Not trying to be a hater, just legit curious at this point

Remember when we used to meme Wilson Chandler for "20 pts on 20 shots"?

I really hope RJ isn't that.

For those praising DSJ, the reason we were down in the 1st half was because of him. He is not a consistent player.

Dude needs to go really, 4th year in the league and still doesn't know how to be a PG and can't shoot whatsoever and constantly making bone headed plays.

I would prefer Quickly over DSJ 10/10 times, there is never a situation I would want DSJ with the ball over Quickly. Enough is enough, good bye.

Notice how Quickly just knew what to do and how to balance his aggressiveness in scoring and also knowing how to swing the ball around to the right guys at the right time without needing Thibs to hold his hand and call every play for him?

Quickly just operated on skill and instincts

Just prioritize shooting and ball movement. It's just more pleasant to watch and it'll make them more competitive too.

Playables
RJ
Obi
Mitch
Knox
Quickley
Frank
Bullock
Burks
Maybe DSJr
Maybe Noel
Maybe Rivers

Non-Playables
Randle
Payton

Yeah the FO is enamored with his physical gifts but it’s pretty clear he’s not a PG. his decision making is to poor.

In the 2nd half he was playing great defense and the team was getting back into the game. He makes a 3 from the top of the key, which is probably a big confidence booster. He gets the ball back the next possession and what does he do? Look for the best shot? Nope! Dude heat checks a 3 from the same spot after making 1 damn shot in a row.

Payton might be serviceable surrounded by 4 other shooters one being a stretch big. kinda like you'd build around someone like rondo with anthony davis at the 5 and then other shooters at the 2, 3 and 4. But even rondo learned how to shoot quite well if you check the numbers and when the D gave him the shot he could make it. Payton is a historically bad shooter. Much worse than Rondo. I genuinely think he's worse than ben simmons, but ben simmons at least has the sense to KNOW he can't shoot so he doesn't. Payton is apparently unaware that he's a 20% shooter. So yeah If he was the only non-shooter on the floor maybe it could work. but then again, he is stupid and doesn't understand that he can't shoot which is why he was chucking step back 3s tonight so maybe even in that scenario it wouldn't work, because he is stupid

I mostly agree but I will say he's made some 3s this year, the shot does look a little better. 2-4 tonight, you'll take that. Payton can't shoot at all. I would play him over Payton just for the sake of spacing. Payton should never play. He is the biggest problem
