Like I said its an optics thing. You are making your choices and you know my feelings and I have left you alone because frankly you are going to do you whether I disagree or not. Just know its not a "you" thing people were called out for it in year one well before you came into BAF. So you just gotta live with it if you are going to play the game that way.

To be honest the hoffa excuse seems weak to me. He irks people, for you to change a lineup based on him, means he gets more ammo for you years down the road if you ever do get good people will call it illegitimate. Again just telling you how it look from the outside.

Oh I know thats not a "you" thing but the very people who have called me out for "tanking" have tanked themselves or in "hoffs
case has not only "tanked" but have done other "things" against the game -if there is such a thing...

I cant help you there- its no excuse it was a direct response to hoffs attack-period.

Doesnt matter what hoff says- he has committed worse crimes then he claims anyone has- I dont play this game for
someone who stands by an argument thats hypocritical.

every gm who has come at me regarding "tanking" has tanked in one form or another- and in my book and many other gms who have agreed with this view- it makes no sense...what did some say it was?? tanking morality I think

It's not tanking morality. If you don't see a difference in trading for draft capital and trading for young pieces for more of a long term view and actually playing a 7'6 guy at PG to intentially throw games. Well then I cant help you there. I see a clear distinction with someone playing a long game in terms of building for the future and someone purposely playing guys out of position. The game is ideally played as close to real life as possible.

There are young teams in the NBA. Look at DET killian hayes started for them and he clearly wasn't a better player than Derrick Rose. But he started because DET is playing the long game so there is reasoning for it. You don't see anyone playing a center at PG. That is the difference. One is common in the NBA the other never happens. There in lies the clear distinction IMO.

If this is how anyone ran their team in real life, no offense, not one player in the league would want to play for your organization.

swiss you missed the part where i said "adjustments" because were playing against a computer Swiss

all im going to say on this is tanking is tanking in the real world. You can take that or leave it there. In life you can not throw stones if you live in a glass house. And again, Hoff crossed the line when he made that post telling gms how to play my team-
hes the one who brought taco out- I even warned him but he kept going and some here seem to think hoff and his antics are harmless- well - maybe you should have said something to him -instead of me...

please- lets just leave this alone...I am playing the game by the rules and it is my right to run my team the way i want to...

I am done responding to this- im just not into to the 50 post back and forth's anymore mph- i rather go to a strip
club -especially since they close at 10pm these days...take care..

I'm just letting you know it's not going to stop even when you get good. I'm just being honest with you

You might not see any value in doing it a certain way and there aren't the same "real life consequences" because your young guys would literally never develop the way they do in real life but you will have to either live with people talking **** or just ignore it. When you put yourself in that position you just gotta expect it and be able to make peace with it instead of trying to defend it.

I called out all the teams who did this in year 1 and will call it now.

Tanking like that is pure chit and bich move. I have zero respect for it and teams should be punished for it. Been pushing for that since year 1

Also - my bad to teams waiting to hear back from me..will try and get back this weekend, but wanted to follow up on the thread and had to call out the fuqery

Ayton irl has been kinda meh on offense. But his defense and rebounding has been pretty strong. I wonder what his rating will be next year for me. Randle breaking out this season is good insurance lol

I just don't know how you'd get any enjoyment out of intentionally not playing your young pieces, or playing guys out of position

I mean, I had a miserable time with my team the first year I took over cause I had no one who was gonna be around, so I just didn't bother with paying attention. Then last year I got involved more cause I had some rooks, and now this year I'm checking every box score to see how my kids do

Yeah, the team still sucks and you could say I'm still tanking cause we're a year away from being 2 years away at least, but it's just way more fun to see my guys do well, both in the sim and irl (though Hayes has been a major disappointment and Okongwu just played his first game last night)

I do think anti-tanking rules should be in place. Having healthy guys on the IR and playing everyone out of position is too blatant. Just build a bad team and let it play out.

I'm still potentially looking to make moves as well.

rookie 1st round Josh Green and early 2nd round Vernon Carey on the block also would be willing to potentially add draft capital in the right deal as well.
