Big G with the ASG MVP, love to see it!

Many fans were questioning why Stanton got voted in to start… Like this dude hasn’t been a big part of the Yankees winning this season. Love to see him get the spotlight tonight.

Onto the second half of the season… (Maybe the mods will sticky this thread before the season ends…)

Did the Yankees win the ASG? I missed it. I hope they didn't lose like the Polar Bear did last night! Too soon?

Stanton actually has had a sneaky good season (especially based on many advanced metrics) so far, which is surprising since he's playing on the biggest profile and best team in baseball.

Now let's hope they go and get Castillo to sure up the rotation for the playoffs.

I've been thinking this for about two weeks, but people need to stop with this this "All time great team" bs around this team.

That was way premature. Yeah, all time great. So great there are 3 other teams with near identical records.

It was really the press getting carried away with 90 games to go.

The pace and pitching was never going to hold up for 162. It was fun to think about how many wins they could get but never realistic.

It doesnt even matter if yankees ended up with a better regular season record. Astros feel like they can beat the yankees while the yankees still talking about how they were cheated in 2017.

Here we go again. A few losses and you guys start packing it in. There are 3 teams in the league with 60+ wins. NYY/HOU/LAD 64/61/61. The Mets are 6 games back and fighting off the Braves run. The Yankees will be in the playoffs. How they look in Sept is more important than a mid summer/ASB few games. Calm down. Houston is the team we need to get by. That is all there is to it. I wonder how they are cheating this year.

In a way I'm happy if the Yankees don't break the wins record. It would put too much pressure on winning the world series. We don't need to be the 2001 Seattle Marniners. ATM Astros are better than the Yankees.

no one is suggesting that we won't make it to the playoffs. What I am questioning is whether this team can beat the Astros.

Agreed. They need to do something about their starting pitching. Need to add a front line guy. Luis Castillo is the best guy on the market, They need to do what it takes to get him. Castillo to me is a more important get than go chasing Soto. So watch the Yankees end up with Soto.

People are acting like they need to worry. The Astros are a good team. They won two games in the bottom of the ninth basically. Is this reason to panic? Not for me. We need to add a player or two IMO. Gallo needs to go and we need a good bat and at least some BP help. They are in the conversation for a WS. That's all I need as fan. I have witnessed many WS in my lifetime. 7/11 record and 26 playoff appearances. I want another one no doubt but, I don't react to every little thing that happens here.

They just need to shore up a couple of holes the lineup has now. Get rid of Gallo and bring in a guy like Benintendi that puts the bat to the ball. I think there is enough pitching depth to win games. Cash will find another diamond in the rough somewhere before the deadline passes.

I was around for 7 wins in 11 appearances. In that span... Mets went 1 for 3. One of those losses....to the Yankees!!!

Subway Series won't change anything either. The Mets will lose and the Yankees will always be better.
