RJ + Obi plus a bunch of picks for KD. Only way Nets would do it is if KD begs them to let him stay in NY.

If that type of offer is on the table… you gotta go for it. That kind of chance may not be around for another decade.

who is the back up 4 if we move obi?

RJ/Hart at the 3/4….seems like most teams play that way anyway off the bench…watching Dallas/LAC and they each have 1 C and all wings and guards with there bench lineups. Not many PFs anymore, except for Thibs

that's too small

and like bluntson said, thibs is more like to run sims at the 4 than rj

Basically just replacing Obi for Hart…Hart plays bigger then Obi anyway….

But ultimately just trying to find a way for my guy Deuce to still play

if KD wants out there would be stupid not to get the best return. Yeah just send him to GS right and get that trash package?

It's about saving face. They didn't trade Irving to the Lakers out of spite. You think they would be any less spiteful towards the Knicks?

sure but they wanted to **** over Kyrie for **** them over. I don't think they want to **** over KD...

If he is asking out absolutely they do.

I love that people think the nets would trade Durant to us for any price. Esp one that can be beat by numerous interested suitors.

Might as well make that same offer for curry, you'd get the same answer

it can't be ignored how poorly this front office is using it's resources. the process is a mess.

Yeah. They are bad with asset management IMO. They waste time/assets/cap space every year so far. I can see the plan they are trying to pull off but, they are sloppy as fuq trying to get there.

Didn't we get 4 1sts for the one we traded? I can't really agree that that is bad asset management.

I don't remember the details but, something like that. Not a bad move. They have been sloppy though over the last few years. Summer 2021 was as bad as it gets though. Trading firsts to acquire a player they never used and using another first in a trade to move on from him is not good. Needing firsts to move off players you signed a year ago? Especially when they could have signed 1+1 deals to be able to have the space for Brunson to begin with. It hasn't been pretty. Sloppy is a fair term.

I get it and he shouldn't lose any of his mins. but unfortunately that's what it looks like - deeeeez is losing all his mins and something fcky will happen with Grimes and IQ. I dont' trust thibs at all to figure this sht out.

Love the move! I said it in the trade thread awhile back that if OG is too costly Hart should be the go-to.

He is a better rebounder and passer than OG and can even hold his own on the defensive end. Great team player. He only 2 years older than OG and a lot more durable.

I expect him to come off the bench where he’d provide some much needed rebounding, playmaking and scoring. Just hope he can stay healthy.

Grimes fits better with the starting unit providing more spacing with his 3 ball.

For everyone concerned about minutes, Thibs is going to expand his rotation and reduce some of the starter minutes when he has quality players he can rely on in his bench. He tried doing that initially this year, but it didn’t work out

Serious question, in a vacuum, is Josh Hart a better fit with the starting rotation at the 3 than RJ?
