Yanks finally get that scumbag Donaldson off the team, but now turn around and acquire noted scumbag Alex Verdugo from the Red Sox.

This bum couldn't hit at Fenway, what makes Cashman think he can play here?

What'd you give up? Rumor is that King, Thorpe, Brito, Vasquez and catcher Kyle Higashioka are all likely to be included in the trade.

King is the only known quality. I dont trust any of Yankees so called prospects.

Well, it's only a one-year rental right now so I wouldn't expect that you would have to give up the farm. Though I thought that competition to get Soto would've driven up the price. I guess most teams will just try and sign him as a free agent instead.

Reporter for MLB Network said it's being finalized, correct. I don't know which prospects are being shipped out, don't care either I'm glad Hal finally slapped Cashman in the mouth and told him to make moves.

Honestly, i actually like this one year rental. We get to see him play in new york before committing to him long term. Imagine we got an one year rental chance to see stanton or rondon play in nyc first

Soto is 25, you pay him what Boras is asking for with the opt out after year 3.

Even at his worst years in SD he'd be the second best Yankee behind Judge. If he's at his best then he's the best hitter in Baseball.

They already turned down $440 million/15 years from the Nationals. Wonder if they want that same contract or even more from the Yankees.

Given his age, a 520/13 deal (40AAV same as judge) is not bad at all.

I really wish his batting average was higher again. Yeah, he's one of the best just getting on base, but sometimes you need a hit to drive a batter home instead of a walk.

Yeah, he was a pretty consistent pitcher. Hopefully, Yankees get Yamamoto.
