But Thibs gonna Thibs. 38 minutes for Hart and Brunson.

We have a 4 game sample for the ECF now. towns, he’s been a positive +\- in 3 of 4 games and highest plus minus of starters. And is overall positive in the playoffs. The defense has surprisingly been fine with towns and any lineup with him playing without Brunson. Whether it’s with the bench or with other starters

Meanwhile the defense gets smoked any time Brunson is in the game. Doesn’t matter if towns is playing, towns staggered or in foul trouble sitting on the bench with Mitch at center, towns playing the 4 with Mitch at the 5, doesn’t matter, we get demolished. And now he is -26 2nd worst on the team in this series. The pacers have figured him out and are exposing him

I don’t see how a simple coaching change can fix this, although I’m fine if they want to do that, but my confidence in the future of the team is a bit shaken

I think Brunson is the worst perimeter defender I’ve ever seen. Never recall consistently seeing a guy turn his back and sprint away from a rising-up 3pt shooter. Extremely bizarre. He makes zero effort to contest the outside shot.

He’s a stretch PF in a short stout PG’s body.

Among the stars in the league, it is a contest between JB and Luka as to who is the absolute worst defender.

I remember watching that draft. Even Steven A was pushing for Halliburton. We decided to get Ju ju's replacement lol.

This series is over, that game 1 loss was devastating. Will haunt our collective memories. Not sure where you go from here, good team but not enough quality depth to win the 'chip and no real way to get better, capped out with no picks. We do have a long windows, I'd say 3-5 years so will have to figure out how to get more talent here. Need a quality wing, quality PG and quality big.

I don't think we'll do it but honestly need new coaching blood, feels like Thibs has done the best he could.

Yeah we got a nice window here. Next few moves will be crucial.

East is wide open for another season or two. West only gets more brutal. Just gotta get to the finals a few times and maybe win one.

the they are better and what can you do crowd. Sure I mean I guess we can go the route...but these playoffs are on the margins. We blew game 1 with awful coaching and players mentally and physically making mistakes down the stretch. All these games have been "winnable" never a game where we are getting completely outplayed.

There is zero creativity. The one time we sort of get creative with the rotations and minutes is because of foul trouble in game 3.

Haliburton was feeling it...not adjustment. No scheme change. Maybe try picking up full court with Wright or McBride then having Mikal and OG in help shooting the gaps...maybe try some different things to get his frustrated. Nope same defensive coverage pretty much all series...allowing them to search out our weakest defenders and pick us apart.

He just doesn't have the capabilities to take us to the next level because he simply knows one thing...play his most trust worthy guys no matter what the situation and matchup is.

I don't think we have ever run a 5-out lineup by putting Deuce with the starters. We should absolutely be trying to match Brunson minutes with McConnel so that we can put Brunson on McConnel and hedge and recover to him because he isn't a shooter. Instead the first 9 minutes or so of every qtr is the same damn ****.

Are we the worst “and 1” team in NBA history? Collectively it felt like we were 2-15 on layup attempts where we were fouled but Indy was converting them like the Harlem globe trotters. Forget how awful from deep we are (spare me last minute jack up 3s). This team is so vanilla offensively it’s hurtful.

Agreed, progress was made this season, in the eastern conference finals, one of the last 4 teams standing. So we are not that far away in my opinion but Rose is gonna have his work cut out for him to tinker around the edges.

That's the glaring take away here, Knicks need new leadership and Thibs a cushy front office job. He's a good man that has won a lot of games for us but this is his ceiling.

I’ve seen high school coaches with better offensive sets than Thibs
