I agree with magic that the most amazing part is how he put the team on his back and got everyone to elevate their games.
Play time is over.

It's a sickness. Some people don't know how to handle success, and have to lash out with negativity somewhere. They can't talk up one guy without putting down another. I'm not sure why they hate themselves.

Yeah critiquing MD is the farthest thing from my mind now. If anything I think his system helped make this possible.

he's not the only one saying that. almost every one's saying that. every podcast i've listened to, every time they talk about the knicks on ESPN/TNT halftimes, even our own Clyde Frazier has said it. do I hope it works with Melo? of course. but he'd have to make some changes in his approach.

But why do people forget that that Suns team that went to the WCF had Joe Johnson, also a ball dominant ISO player?

Joe Johnson was doing on that team pretty much what Landry Fields is doing to this team right now.
No he was never an iso guy in phoenix.

Lin called Dantoni an "offensive genius" and thanked his system for his results. Also gave credit to Jeffries over and over again. The two once-most hated NYK'ers are no longer the escape goats

Lakers definitely did game plan for Lin

Its just that he had no weaknesses tonight

They tried getting physical with him, he still gets to the rim and draws fouls

They tried sagging off him, he hits the jumper

They tried to trap him, he passes it to the open man, who moved the ball around

Right now he is the ultimate PG. Not the most talented or athetlically gifted, but he has the ultimate balance between every aspect of PG play that is making the opposing team shake in its boots and he's also making his teammates play way above their heads.

Great summary -- excellent recap of how he did it despite them keying on him.

One of Lin's greatest strengths is he just makes everybody around him better. You can't ask for more than that.

Once Amare and Melo are back, I can't wait to see how much that opens the floor. Our opposition won't be able to double team without paying a price.

Several things:
* Christian connection.
* Nationwide sensation.
* Coming out of apparently nowhere to grab attention.

There is some here, but you do hope it means that Lin is more consistent and the Knicks win more.

It is unreal at this point. Need to see if Lin keeps it up. Still have to have concerns here about things. Promising yes. I say just enjoy the ride.

I understand people may not like melo. Or his game. But the dude has tried to do the right things here. I really think he wants to win. And in his mind the only way that was going to happen with this mess under this coach was to do it himself.

Its not only a new ball game in NYC, its a new attitude.

I think Lin's success is dividing other team boards: The underdog fans and Asian fans are not unhappy.

If they are getting obnoxious and state stuff due to bias that is delusional, by all means do something about it. I still see flaws to Lin's game here and there but can't talk about them due to criticism.

I still havent' forgiven Mike. I also think the offense becomes very stagnant, when guys just watch LIN. This team rarely sets backscreens and moves without the ball.

This right here is pst of the year
Im tired of hearing melo this and melo that! If people think we can keep this up without Melo is delusional and had a purp drank themselves. Melo do have to adjust, but i think he's willing to and have the skill set to do so. Some people just still butt hurt from the NY-Denver trade so they want to **** on Melo. Come playoff timr a healthy Melo will do this team justice. One of the clutch perfprmers in the NBA. And yes Im a heavy Melo supporter and fan but a basketball fan first. We need a Melo type player to advance far in the playoffs.

Everything happens for a reason my dude.

They took Stephen Curry right before us and we ended up with Jordan Hill and now we LINNED them.

Its a dish served cold.

I was thinking about that TODAY. IF we get Curry- no Linsanity in NY... wow JUST wow
