I believe the starters should be fine, even Shumpert as a rookie.

But the key will definitely be the bench.

We have quite a few guys on this team that will be playing for their lunch money next season.

Gotta come out with guns blazing, as Miami has been well know for giving up open perimeter shots.

Outside of the Heat's big 3 we need to outplay them at every other position if we want to win. Baron needs to beat out Chalmers, Tyson needs to kill Joel Anthony on the boards, and our bench needs to outscore theirs, hopefully by double digits.

Its either 1) we win a long series or 2) we get our doors blown off each game

I agree that the bench is absolutely key, but unfortunately I disagree that we can just assume our starters will step up.

The Melo/Amar'e pairing has yet to prove it can work together. To take down the Heat over a 7 game series, we're gonna need both of them to play well. The only assumption I'm making about the starters is that Tyson Chandler will be the rock of f*ing gibraltar on defense. Baron and Shump need to step their sh*t up. Amar'e needs to step his sh*t up. And Carmelo needs to prove he can be a beast even with another offensive weapon like Amar'e firing on all cylinders.

Beating the Heat over a full 7 game series is no joke.

Still questionable.

MJ did it. Chandler is the MVP of the knicks this season. he needs to be out there just as much as melo if the knicks want to win

If Tyson misses this game, Carmelo & Amar'e better ball the F out.

Definitely, those two have to co-exist.

I actually want to see Amar'e reinvent himself on offense, and know when to fall back and get out of Melo's way.

Melo has to keep the game close, Amar'e cannot go into this series thinking he has to take over games, but just take the shots that are given, and help crash the boards, and rack up fouls on the Heat's frontcourt.

On defense, Amar'e has to provide some weak-side help, and do not allow the Heat to have too many second chance ops.

I think they'll be fine quite honestly, as they do have alot at stake as well.

The Miami Heat are legit, true enough, but can be handled.

They have weaknesses, and our team has to exploit those, at all times.

I'm looking to get tickets for Thursday's game. Haven't gone to any sporting event in a while. Is stubhub the best option and how much should I expect to pay per ticket?

Marc Berman
J.R. Smith tells @HaleMark bench is key to series. Heat not known for its 3-point defense either. Can J.R. and 3-point savant Steve Novak shoot them past thin Heat. "They have a great starting five,'' Smith said. "As do we, of course. But I think our bench is key in this series more than any other series. Because our first 5, they really equal out each other. We need us to come in and keep the energy up, keep pushing the ball, get stops & rebounds so we can get where we need to be.”

When JR first came here, people constantly mocked him for being an idiot in Denver. Eeveryone knew whar kind of player he was on-court, but people questioned who he was off-court. And while JR isnt the sharpest tool in the box, hes actually a bright individual...He's our X-Factor
