anybody who is ready to stop supporting the knicks because lin might leave never was a knick fan to begin with. you root for teams not players. and clearly hes shown selfishness during this entire process. also lin is a bitch for not playing in the playoffs or against the usa team because he knew he would get exposed. i say dont match and let his punk ass for to houston.

I will be done with the Knicks until Dolan is gone. I think this team is rotten from top to bottom. Once Lin is gone we will have an Isiah team. Make no mistake, he is still running the Knicks. When Lin is gone this will be a team of knuckleheads as evidenced by recent comments by Melo and JR. Bringing in an old wifebeater in Kidd doesn't really help that, or the corpses of some favorite Knicks from the past. I have a strong dislike for our stars and our front office so I don't see how I can continue to support this team. I am going to have to find a way to break my Knicks' addiction. I wish I liked another team. Maybe if a team comes back to Seattle that will be my new team since I was born there.

I also think a good portion of the Knick fanbase are idiots and racists, sorry to say. They way that they unfairly bash Lin, how they were so cruel to Lin supporters on this site. Really its shameful and I don't want to even post on a board where you post. I think about 75% of the people who post on this board are a**holes and just not good people. Some of you make me ashamed to be a Knicks fan.

If we keep Lin I will probably still try to support the team but I'm afraid that the writing is on the wall and we will have a very toxic environment this season. The Felton trade really tipped the balance for me and made me fully realize that Isiah is running the show and this team is rotten to its core.

This has cliched fan speak all over it. You can't speak for everyone. I've been a fan since I could walk and I am 30 going on 31. I'm tired of the easy bake oven way this org is run. Dolan is an idiot.

The NY media with its hatred unleashed towards Lin by the likes of Screaming A Smith and Fagola has poisoned any chance of Lin and NY reconciling.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Isiah is still manipulating things behind the scenes. Who else would fill the entire bench with over the hill, 40 year old former stars?

Who knows why they have not made any official comments yet, for all we know they may be working on a sign and trade with Houston? If it involves more than the two teams it could take the full time they have to match the offer sheet. That is just speculation on my part but like you and many of the others I am tired of it and want it to be over.

Yes, totally. All of his cronies and friends are in place in the organization and he is good friends with Woodson. I mean, does Isiah even have a job now? Do you really think he has no say in the Knicks organization?

Saying you're done with the team cause of Lin is almost as bad as saying you'll support the BK Nets.

Players come and go. There will be another Lin. And he'll be traded too. That's sports. It's almost impossible for a player to stay with the same team his entire career. Ewing didn't even finish his career here.

I'm bookmarking this thread. When this team is making noise next year, I know posters are going to come back saying how they knew we could do it all along. This thread will show who the real fans are versus the fake ones

Lin is basically a marketing cash cow for both Houston & NY. The difference is NY made this kid. If he would have done this anywhere else he would be a local favorite instead of a worldwide phenomena.

Houston is basically the abusive spouse that never appreciated him till he was gone and bettered himself and Lin is the battered spouse that goes back and says "They really loved me" and basically runs back to be used and abused again. They're desparate and looking for their next Yao Ming to bring in revenue from Asian countries. If Lin goes to Houston, he will get no love in the US media after a while. He better become a top 5 PG in order to remain that popular.

If Dolan does keep Lin, he must have figured out a way to receive that luxury tax revenue through him and then some. That's the only way we keep him

I don't think Knicks fans of all people have any business calling someone else a battered spouse.

I know this is a lot to ask, and I'm no NBA salary wizard

But I’d love the real facts:
Can anyone break down each players salary percentage in 2014-2015 and their final $ pull? Meaning players’ base salaries are each given their equivalent burden on the tax (e.g. Melo and Amare each get 25% of the tax which = 30mil each, Tyson and Lin, get 15% of the tax which = 18mil each, Novak gets 5% of the tax = 6mil, etc. <—— and these numbers are wrong, just trying to make the request clear). Obviously this would have to include 14 or 15 players and all of the crazy tax numbers…

I'll be watching the Knicks smiling because we'll be great next year.

And I'll be watching Lin next season because I know he's more than a "cash cow". He can ball. And I'll pray he embarasses our team when he plays us.

I'll still be here, with or without Lin supporting the Knicks.

Return to New York Knicks
