Again, where is this myth than Lin "used" anyone or anything to get more money coming from? Upset fans? Berman? Isola? Seriously...this is biggest crock of crap I've read on this forum. Do you not understand that there is no basis to anything you're saying? It's all garbage and not based on any facts at all.

You are kidding yourself. Woodson told reporters they were absolutely going to match the offer the Rockets made and that Lin was the starting point guard. That was after Lin had showed them the initial offer sheet. The terms were reported everywhere.

Lin then went back and got the offer changed. It was really dumb of the Knicks brass to say anything until they had the written version but everybody knew the terms. It's pretty obvious to me that they felt they had an agreement in place and that Lin used that to get a better offer from the Rockets.

You can say that's all part of the game or Lin wanted to get paid like everybody else. But it's sheisty. And these guys (Dolan and crew) don't give a **** about stock price or anything they weren't going to let some nerd from Harvard (sorry nerds) teach them the business.

I'm kidding myself? And who are you kidding with conjuring up BS like the one in bold? What is your source for you to say garbage like Lin went and changed the offer? Marc Berman?

I just finished schooling some more uninformed ignorant posters in this thread about this exact thing: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1196630&start=45

Too lazy to repeat myself. Maybe you'll read it and actually get back into reality and away from fantasies.

It's only what, 7PM where they all are in Las Vegas.. Who knows what they're doing. Though it seems a little strange to keep it under-wraps till the last second for the hell of it.. Unless there was a reason.

Nope. Lin didn't make me a fan and if he's no longer a Knick, I'll still continue being one.

I cannot believe that part of me is waiting here having hope that the Knicks might match. I am a damn sucker for this cursed team.

All I'm saying is I pray on everything this organization is not stupid enough to just not match. Match the kid on the strength that we can trade him after January, for christ sakes don't be so (Please Use More Appropriate Word) to just let him leave without getting anything.

I'm not going to lie I've been very, very optimistic & upbeat about our chances of matching him but I'm starting to get a bit nervous now. Please Knicks FO just match him & get this drama sh*t over with, if anything trade him when the time is necessary.

What if the whole thing is just a love prank from Dolan to Lin... instead of resentment? How real can this scenario be:

*A day after Knicks matching his contract at 11:57pm, Lin still shaking walks gingerly into Knicks locker room where everybody (players, coaches, Dolan) is waiting for him.
Everybody in the room bursts into LAUGHTER
Dolan: "Hey Jeremy, almost got you, didn't I?" (winked)
Lin: "Guys, for a while I thought you guys were serious" (shocked face)
Woody: "Relax dude, it was just a joke from all of us. This is your first free agency. Once in a lifetime. It's a family, New York joke."
Lin: "I love you guys"

Nope. I won't support the owner, front office and certain players, but I will always support the name on the logo.

Wasting your time with this one. He'll only believe the reports if it's a guy saying something he wants to hear, apparently.

Are you saying there wasn't two offers? When Woodson was out there saying we are absolutely going to match wasn't he talking about the four year deal?

What changed that they went from we are going to match and he is the starting point guard to trading for Ray Felton?

Larry Coon and a million members of this board all broke it out how they could have avoided the luxury tax.

It's not about the money.
Play time is over.
