For those hoping for Bembry (myself included) Phil Martelli (his college coach) went on Philly sports talk radio today and said he "knows" he's going top 25 so we're not getting him with a 2nd round pick which means we're most likely not getting him. Unfortunate.

I think the lakers did excellent considering everything. Ingram Russell and Emblid is something to work with. We as knick fans can't talk ****. It takes us YEARS to even get respectable talent in a draft. The Knicks have NEVER recouped from Mistakes like the Lakers have been able to in the time they did.

I think you mean Randle, not Embiid. Ingram hasn't even played a second of summer league, Russell was meh last year, and Randle seems to be who he is. Our rookie is better than all of those guys. Simply adding high lottery picks over a period of a few years doesn't really guarantee anything.

yeah I meant Randle. How Long did it take us to find a good Rook thoe? The point I am making is, IN THE TIME IT TOOK. They still pulled off more than what we did or could ever have done. These dudes don't have to be world beaters, but all look better than our rookies prior to zings in recent years. Russell and Randle have shown respectable improvement. Its safe to say Ingram won't be a scrub either. Shump is a Bum and has not even improved since we drafted him basically. You have to go back to dudes like Gallo to find respectable talent we drafted.

Based on level of talent and some redundancies, I can see the TWolves being the trading partner with Boston, with a 3rd team involved so Rubio has somewhere to land that isn't Philly.

give them oquinn and the 2nd rounder w just got from chicago for hawes. they would save 2m and we get a backup C
I'd rather Lamb.
And, I'm not trading that pick (if it were me). The Bulls might have a bad record next year, and it's projected as an incredibly stacked Draft in 2017, that 2nd Round could be very high.
Plus, well need Players in 2017 and good, cheap young players are more valuable. We could have 3-4 picks next year. I'd rather we work a player for Lamb trade, than include a pick,
--Mags
I'm bias being a Uconn fan, but I think Lamb is the kind of SG we could use. great jumper, great play off of better offensive players. When he is left open he'll hit those shots and take advantage of playing with Melo and Rose. I would LOVE to get the #22 and Lamb.

I don't know if that logic applies to some of these teams with 5-8 picks in the draft -- would think the cost of acquiring one of Boston's 3 2nd rounders might be significantly less than $3M but we are the Knicks and always pay a 100% premium on all transactions.

Not sure I wouldn't bite on this deal but don't think you can say GREAT in terms of Lamb's shooting and ability to play off/with other great players since OKC moved him (Westbrook/Durant).

I would trade Melo to Boston for Dunn if he'd waive his NTC. Straight up.

True, but he had some REALLY good games in OKC when both Durant and Westbrook were injured. WHen they came back he was just behind Reggie Jackson in getting PT. They were just so deep he couldnt get enought consistent PT.I thought he looked good in stretches at Charlotte too. I think he just needs some consistency. I think he'd be worth bringing on board and giving a shot too.

Re: [2016 NBA DRAFT NIGHT THREAD] - Thursday, 6/23/16 7:00 PM EST
Im interested to see if we either trade O'Quinn to get into the draft, or straight up buy a pick with straight cash homie.
If we trade Kyle, I will definitely think Phil has something cooking behind the scenes. Kyle is a serviceable backup on an incredibly cheap contract. We also dont have very bodies on the roster as is. I just can see Phil just trading him when we already need players to fill out the bench.
Then again, I may be looking deep into things for no reason and this board has gotten the best of me.
