At this point Siakam is gonna struggle to get a $100+ offer on the BaF open market. How bad has he fallen off?

I've reviewed the game tape from my 3 match ups against Cleveland.

In the first match up: I had to play Chandler Hutchison and Chuma Okeke 45 minutes and only lost by 11. That's a win for me.

Spoiler:

In game 2: I had to start and play Chandler Hutchison 41 minutes and John Konchar 9 minutes off the bench and only lost by 11. That's a win.

Spoiler:

In game 3: Andre Drummond wasn't feeling well, that's why he shot 2 for 13 and we only lost by 7. Another win.

Spoiler:

Basically I was 3-0 vs Cleveland this year and I expect to sweep the series.

Ribs and I worked out a trade right before the deadline that benefitted us both and ended up getting us into those final two playoff seeds. Underrated move that paid dividends:

Going to be a tough series vs the Bulls but glad to go up against a perennial contender in my first BAF playoff experience. Allows me to test out various rotations prior to the year 5 rebuild to see if these young kids can win a BAF championship

I probably should've tanked the last game but I like it. 37-45 ain't too bad to build off of. Just gotta figure out how to get some cap space and who y'all boys like in the draft to see if I can make some shrewd moves.

Spoken like a true loser. Talking about testing out lineups like it's preseason instead of talking about trying to win. Makes the playoffs for the first time but is more focused on rebuilding.

The "young kids can win a BAF championship" is just setting up the excuse for the loss you've already accepted.

I know that injuries are always a big topic in this game. I'm curious as to what people thought about this year on this matter. Injuries were set at 60% and it seemed to me at least that injuries were down. There was not one season ending injury all season which is obviously not realistic but probably not a bad thing for this game. It did seem like there were a lot of smaller, nagging injuries but very few injuries that lasted more than a couple of weeks.

Did a bit of work tonight while I was waiting for my son at his practice. The 20 highest paid players in the league averaged 77.7 games played this year. All things considered that seems very high in this day and age. I know it's annoying to see that injury report listed every night but was it actually unrealistic? Just looking for feedback as we will eventually move into year five.

Ha it has long been my observation that which players are injury prone in real life has no bearing on the sim. Gallinari was my iron man a few years back.

Generally, I thought that injuries were fine. They're a bummer but a realistic part of the game. What's weird about them is they seem to hit for teams all at once. Like the Angel of Mild Anguish passing from team to team. Didn't care much for that when it hit me but I doubt there's much to be done about that feature on the admin level. The frequency is about right and it was nice not to have too many major ones.

Injuries were fine imo. Much rather deal with 1-2 game absences randomly than not having a guy for half/most of the year.
