so much for bobby marks the cap guy...that trade doesn't even work.

Kemba/Burks/Fournier don't even work in the trad checker. We would need to add another small salary

But technically yes this year or next year doesn't mean anything anymore. Get the pick and clear the extra year out of any of these guys.

But they would need to do what HOU is doing with Wall...Westbrook can't be dominating all the usage throwing up bricks f*cking up RJ's development. So you just have to send him home.

yeah, i edited my post to say you play him the rest of the year and then in the summer you try to buy him out or sit him if he won't budge. i think you would probably play him this year though unfortunately. just for the extra gate revenue.

you know what I re-thought what I want. I want westbrook to at least stay for the year. I need to hear clyde call Westbrooks shot a UFO....I need that in my life right now.

With Brunson, Dallas can pay him the most money - and Cuban has as much as anyone. However, if Brunson wants to leave, then they remain in position to do the sign & trade.

Seems most logical that IF Brunson moves and it's to the Knicks, it's in the offseason.
Even then, feels like a 3rd team would need to be involved for the Knicks to send the Mavericks what they need back.
Just don't think S&T'd Mitch for S&T'd Brunson does it. Even if Knicks put IQ in the trade.

Knicks should be trying to pry Bullocks away from the Mavs. Put him together with Randle and that's some championship caliber stuff.

Yea get the one guy who was even worse than Randle in the playoffs. That's the Knicksy thing to do.

He's awesome. He was the lynchpin holding it all together, to include Randle's sanity.

What'll it take to get Elf back from the Suns? Kemba and a 2nd rounder?

Bullock has been terrible for Dallas and $10M isn't cheap for what he's been giving them.

Just play Grimes.

R. Bullock, .J. Randle, .R. Barrett
1594 mins - the largest 3 man combo we had last year
110.4 ORTG
106.5 DRTG
3.9 NRTG

R. Bullock, .J. Randle
1811 mins - the 2nd largest 2 man combo we had last year
109.5 ORTG
106.3 DRTG
3.2 NRTG

R. Bullock, .R. Barrett
1652 mins - the 3rd largest 2 man combo we had last year
110.2 ORTG
106.7 DRTG
3.5 NRTG

But hey, I’m sure his more expensive replacement is doing well with our two main players, right?

E. Fournier, .J. Randle, .R. Barrett
910 mins - highest mins for a 3 man combo this year
108.8 ORTG
114.3 DRTG
-5.5 NRTG

E. Fournier, .J. Randle
1243 mins - highest mins for a 2 man combo this year
107.3 ORTG
111.7 DRTG
-4.4 NRTG

E. Fournier, .R. Barrett
959 mins - 3rd highest mins for a 2 man combo this year
108.0 ORTG
114.2 DRTG
-6.2 NRTG

Money well spent b/c the other guy isn’t doing well on a different team in a different system with different PT. Right???

What does what he has done for DAL matter when discussing keeping him in our system when he was good for us and was a good fit with our two franchise players?

Why settle for just one in Grimes when you could have had two of this archetype that clearly fits well with your 2 main guys?

Context has been and forever will be the enemy of arguments trying to defend bad decisions by this FO.

Here's additional context: He was utterly useless in the playoffs and couldn't attack a defender like Trae Young.

That's why they paid Burks instead of him and got his direct replacement is Grimes.

Both players are better than Bullock this season.

That has nothing to do with defending the FO and everything to do with Bullock not being good this season. Point blank.

We have Grimes in our system and he's better. That's really all that matters. We have the archetype available and it didn't cost us $10M/yr.

Why have 2 of the exact same archetype when Burks' archetype adds another dimension and is more valuable?

This notion that Bullock, the person, would have fixed Julius or make any difference is just kinda off. Just play Grimes.

The FO did their job and upgraded the role. It's on Thibs for not getting him on the floor.

A few weeks ago, I would say moving Brunson was the thing to do. I didn't realize that they are the 5th seed now. They are not moving Brunson, especially THJr is hurt.

Unless Dallas is looking to trade KP back to the Knicks.

Read this thread and I must say, some of y'all are truly desperate. I want Randle gone but not for peanuts nor am I looking for FRPs. His contract isn't the worst and he isn't being paid like a no.1 option more like a no. 3 on a good playoff team. If a team has their set options, and acquiring a guy like Randle is NOT THAT BAD. If a team trades for him to lead the team, obviously this year speaks for itself and that GM should be fired.

I also would like to see what type of players the Knicks are looking to return. Would it be complimentary pieces around RJ or someone above RJ? It will really tell how they feel about RJ and the role he has with this team in the future.

Never understood Noel's signing when he has been Mr. Glass in his career. Hopefully someone sees value in him if the Knicks want to keep Mitch. I do not want to keep both Mitch and Noel, both are redundant and will probably cost 14+ million to resign him.

Shouldn't attach an asset to trade Fournier. I would rather keep him, his contract isn't that bad.

With that in mind, looking at Randle as a 3rd option would be good trade him to Portland. Next year, with Lillard, McCollum and Randle, they can possibly make one last run before Dame says I'm out. Portland is also midget heavy (Dame 6'2, CJ 6'3, Simons 6'3, Powell 6'3).

Randle
IQ

for

Covington (FA this offseason year)
Nance (FA next year)
Anfernee Simons

The other team I thought of was the Kings because they are so guard-heavy as well and may need a scoring big man. I'm not so sure if Kings are willing to trade Fox (I'm not a big fan now that his defense is as bad as Kemba without knees).
