The Timberwolves had one priority above all this offseason. That was to get a defensive big

We have a ton of offensive firepower but Banchero and Sengun aren’t the strongest on that side of the ball. Clingan can potentially be an elite defender early similar to a Walker Kessler with better offensive upside. Banchero can be played with an elite rim protector while Sengun sits. For periods of time Sengun can slide to the PF with elite rim protection like guys like Sabonis and Jokic who may not be traditional PFs.

I really, really liked guys available and I’m excited to see how the next few picks play out. If it were IRL I may have gone a different direction

I was in the road last night so I could not chime in but made sure I got my pick in.

I knew I was going fuccck peoples heads up with Bub at 3.

My instincts were correct that if I passed on Bub I would not see him again based on a few posts I saw.

I zeroed on Bub like a month ago, I looked at other players and went back forth a million times on who I should pick, but I just kept coming back to Bub.

Youngest American player in the draft, with a lethal pull up jumper and is on a really good trajectory. He has picked up steam in the last few weeks and I knew other GMs were watching if I was watching.

Similar to Jdub I just could not shake my gut about his ability. I love his mentality to be such a young player.


Now I just have to hope as with all picks in this draft,he goes to the right team.


Plus come on…. Bub and Dub have a ring to it lol.
