Towns is a worse player and that much will become very clear to people who don't already know that in due time

I remember talking about how Towns had an offensive game and Calipari made him sacrifice it, he wasn't a back to the basket type big. I don't think anyone saw him becoming one of the better shooting big men ever nor his defense more or less doing a 180. I was team Towns all the way, but also realized he wasn't an option for us.

I'm just glad we have some players who can shoot tbh

I respect Randle but every jumper that went in felt like a mistake.

Mitch can't shoot yes but he's allowed because he's the one guy playing defense and not asking for touches.

I truly think it’s much riskier to give up DD than Randle. What is it that KAT can’t replace with JR?

Finals appearance for the next 2 seasons. Book it! We just have to win 1 of them.

Bondy looking for the drama as per the norm. I didn't believe the rumor at first but, it made sense. So, when I hear this it bothers me. I think it is the reason we see the rumor that Bridges will now wait to sign his extension.

As much as I want to trust the FO, this trade bothers me. I hope we get a title in the end.

A lot of signs pointed to a Randle/Towns swap for both teams, and it came true for better or worse. Funny how the stuff we talked about the most ended up happening over the last 9 months. OG, Mikal, now KAT. Nobody better is going to be available anytime soon it seems and we need to go for it sooner than later.

I lean towards liking this move.

Towns is an upgrade from Randle. Obviously a better shooter, more efficient, has the size to play stretch 5, and he’ll fit right in chemistry wise. If he’s going to start at the 5 then good thing we loaded up on elite 3/D wings. Even Precious would be a nice fit with him. Randle had a good run here, and I thank him for his service, but was time to move on.

Losing my fellow Italian American in Donte hurts emotionally, but objectively his minutes and role were going to be cut after getting Mikal. He had a great season above expectations, but in part because many guys were injured. He was pretty inconsistent overall also. Deuce now has more of a role, and there is a path for Kolek to get on the court eventually.

Gotta assume we’re not done yet. See what happens with Mitch and the bench.

He’s a team guy but he would be fighting for minutes with Josh Hart and OG and Mikal too good to bench. Would have been good to have on team either way.

I was blogging with Pacotape back then I remember that was the #1 thing I mentioned in my Towns scouting report. His defense as a primary defender was weak but the fact he was scoring like he was without shooting even though he was a shooter was insane to me.

I still liked Jahlil more because of his strength and scoring game. I wasn't low on KAT more high on Jahlil lol.

Everything we seen this offseason led to him being happy about this. IDK why it was assumed he wouldn't be happy. He's not dumb, he know OG tendons soft like a smoked brisket.

Donte was not going to play much in the playoffs … he was a luxury at this point that’s why he was traded. Shamet will be the sniper off the bench for 10 minutes a game
