We will need the PG to run the ball, keep things under control if we get Melo. We don't need erant passes, forced shots, and poor decision making. Billups brings championship experience, and he does not have a long contract. While I know Felton can be locked up for a 5-10 M a year which isn't a bad value, if we can get Melo, keep something we don't want to give up, and Billups helps us win a title, none of us will be complaining.

yo i would think that if melo joins the knicks then he will be demanding the ball, and between him and amare demanding it there won't be anything left for felton to do but up his assist count. i don't think felton will put so much of a scoring burden on himself if melo is here

Agreed. Felton is the #2 option on offense right now. Melo pushes him down that totem pole.

Melo would fit in very nicely here. 2-10 so far.

Billups is a slow it down, walk it up the court pg who barely fits the Nuggets system. There is no way he fits in with D'Antoni's SSOL scheme.

i think one of the things i like best about melo is his ability to get to the free throw line..that's clutch for slowing down the game in the knicks favor

its a good thing. felton being able to be more of a PG = good. some people are knocking on felton but i think its just because he is the 2nd offensive option right now, thats how much our team sucks

Word w/Knicks is that Chandler has been bothered by trade talk. After getting off reb, D'Antoni makes point of telling him: "Good job."
about 1 hour ago via Twitter for BlackBerry®

Now there are reports that Chandler is bothered by trade talks, SMH just what we needed.

If Donnie doesn't pressure the Nuggets knowing its Knicks or nothing for Melo, this is another Nets situation developing.

Meaning the Nuggets will trade him to us 3 times?

This is why Denver is holding out. They're hoping we fall on hard times during the rough part of our schedule and the fans' overreact. Let's face it patience isn't a NY trait.

We are 2 games from being a .500 team... the panic button should be close to being pushed soon.

You're not supposed to mention his actual numbers. It makes certain people uncomfortable.

He's 4-13 now and he's the only one who can shoot that poorly and still look good doing it. His team is winning, and he has 4 rebounds and 4 assist to end the half. We've seen Carmelo light this team up earlier in the season. Are we now going to bring up what he's doing on the game by game basis when there is a Around The NBA game thread? Are we going to doubt his ability to score? Haha. Ridiculous. I'll be sure to quote this post when he finishes the game with 25+ points, 8 rebounds, 5 assist, on something close to 50% shooting. Haha.

All NBA Team 3 times
All Star 3 Times

But he's not that good. We're here talking about how great out season has been and we're 2 games above .500. We're talking about how the Nuggets are so bad and Carmelo is so garbage, but his team is 24-17 with numerous injuries and supposedly distracted...Carmelo really sucks...

Can already start to see the people that will be on Melo the first off game he has if we're lucky enough to land him... just like people on Chandler and Gallo

JOn Barry is an idiot. He just said Gallo, Fields AND Chandler isn't enough for Melo.

The funny thing is you have guys like Truewarrior who claims he doesn't mind getting Carmelo, but every post he makes about Melo is an indication that he doesn't like him and he wants him to play horrible. That way if he come here he can do the ITOLDYOUSO routine.

Know this. All of this discussion about Carmelo isn't happening because he's a scrub.
