I think we'll definitely need Melo to win. Still, the team will be a work in progress for the rest of the year without any practice time. I think Lin has had maybe one practice at most since he's started playing, he's usually resting on off days. He definitely hasn't practiced with Melo at all.

Historically, Lin plays his best against top competition. He played far better against BC and UConn than against Princeton. He will step up his game on Sunday against the Mavs.

The turnovers are bad, but losing your aggressiveness would be 100x worse. Keep attacking and if the turnovers come so be it.

hey guys mav fan here..i think lin should be worried having marion on him...marion has shut down every single point gaurd to 10% shooting and less then 5 assists..hes become a defensive beast ( he was always a good defender but hes been amazing this year) his offense has sucked recently though..however hes been brutal on scoring point gaurds..rick will put him on Lin if carmelo isnt playing..

our team may be old bu kidd vince dirk marion and terry all have the bbIQ..dirk is still a superstar..we have 2 former superstars who can still make plays ( kidd vince) and marion really hasnt aged that much. Terry will play tomrrow..he didnt have any injury just a personal issue

Yeah, I don't think anyone is overlooking the Mavs it will be a very tough game. I didn't realize Marion was putting in work against point guards like that. Melo playing will make a huge difference than. Cause if Bill Walker is out there it becomes 4 on 5 offensively.

If he can play well vs Jason Kidd and the championship Mavs, his biggest hater is going to have to give him credit..

The Mavs guard dribble penetration very well.

Miami know this all too well.

Im convinced already, Lin can play the pnr and dish, thats all i care about, he's not going to score 20+ his career, I hope people understand this, Im just extremely happy we have a good PG.

For me it's the most anticipated game since the Lakers game. Lets go Knicks! I got to work midnight the night before until 9 am, I guess that means quick nap, then game time!

Personally I thought last night's loss was more evident of that than anything. Some positives I took away:

-Lin scored A LOT - proving he can score even when he's not playing his best game
-Amare scored big
-close game despite an insane amount of mistakes and bad basketball

This looks more like the stars aligning and coming into place. Many people thought Melo could mess things up. But on the flip side I believed in the possibility that the Knicks may end up having 3 players shooting 26 points religiously. Last night was evident of this being a possibility.

That's awesome. Clean up the mistakes, get the other guys to start contributing again, and you have an offensive powerhouse on your hands. I think one of the main reasons the assists were down last night, is everyone else other than Lin and Amare, was missing a whole bunch of shots, which led to forced passes and a whole bunch of turnovers. Lin was looking for Amare, which led to him making one too many mistakes, but that was also because only him and Amare was making anything. So it's a catch-22.

But we know those guys aren't going to shoot that bad every night so there's little to worry about. I'm excited to see the Knicks 5 games or so after Melo comes back. I think they're going to be an offensive powerhouse, but with a stout defense, once they complete their mid-season rebuilding.

Either way they are a great story to follow and the only healthy underdog with the chance to make it very far into the playoffs.
